What did you do today....other than work on your car!?

Working on the perimeter of my lot. Cleared out underbrush, cut off overhanging limbs & branches, cut down a couple of small, junk trees using a hand saw.

Up next...chainsaw and heavy duty hedge trimmer in a couple of days.

started a slight abortion job today a homeowner kinda got over his head, gonna beef up the rolled cloud soffit or whatever you call it with some angle plaster lath, and structo-lite to start with, to be continued.

The homeowner thought it was an easy DIY project?
actually more than a homeowner he's a superintendent for a company I do business with. he has a little of a carpentry background, but those waves are not an easy task for a wood butcher. trying to do a more of an economical fix for the guy, I would have built it out of drywall, grid, and metal angle would have been sweet.

There doesn't look to be anything easy. Somebody designing by magazine pictures?

I've done just enough dry wall work to know I don't like doing it but have done a lot of work using 'sticks' but it's been a lot of years ago.

In march of this coming year I have will have 40 years doing that stuff started out as a finisher, then went to hanging, then commercial which got me into the metal framing, basically having a good eye and taking pride in your work has gotten thru a not too bad way of making a living for a regular guy.
