It's clean and tidy.
They have great, fresh food; and good variety. Their soups are very good.
They are fast.
The hired help are pleasant, polite, & genuinely friendly.
The customers are not loud and obnoxious.
The customers cleanup their own tables and the hired help make sure the tables, seats, and floor are clean for the next customer.

2x4's and up to 2x12's....never messed with the 'timber' stuff. In the late 60's and after getting out of the military in the early 70's, I was mostly doing mostly gyprock (outside drywall that got installed on the outside frame for insulation under brick) and decking for both wood shingles and comp. Wood shingle took 'strip decking' using 1x4's. Started out hanging asbestos siding at 14. Last structure that dad and I did together was my shop.....28x52 with no inside supports. Also set forms with dad. For him, that was a money maker and not all too hard to do but he paid me by the hour for that....but I have played with paint sticks before

My wife has been out of town since Monday.

For her birthday, I completely demo'ed our downstairs, replaced the floor tile, countertops, painted the walls, and redid the trim. I've put in 4 consecutive 15hr days. Still need to make a bench seat for under the window, but the hard parts are done

She gets back from her trip on Wednesday. I'm hustling to get everything done so I can surprise her

She picked up a pretty good sized bolt in her tire yesterday.

'bout ready to go use the tire changer.

Don't know if you saw my reply on the other post where mine picked up a bolt head first. That was a first for me. Took the original spare off the steel wheel (Z71 with a steel wheel spare??) and mounted it on a newly bought Z71 wheel from Ebay and placed the OEM 'violated' fixed tire on the steelie for the spare and placed the #5 wheel in the shop for rotation. I originally bought 4 new tires a few months ago and well, the original never been on the ground spare tire had 1/16" more tread. I got took! Cheaper Good Year tires means least tread depth but looks like they are wearing slowly.

Da wife likes to use Hellmann's mayo for potato salad and other things (she makes a killer tater salad!) but I like the 'whip' on scrambled egg sammages.

Oh....and I worked to clean off the Bevedere so I could move it out of the shop and take pics of it etc. Also need to pull parts for it from the attic and get it all in one place. Still haven't pulled it all down but now I can. The Belvedere was sitting between two other vehicles and it wasn't easy to get around it and it took me nearly 2 weeks to get it to where I could get it out of the shop and get up in that portion of the attic.

Since we have been having some pretty nasty weather out here in my area of Northern Commiefornia, snow up in the Sierras, heavy rain, and 40-60 MPH wind, in my area, the wind is de leafing what's left on the trees and then getting in the gutters on the street and sidewalks, and then plugging up all the drains, so the water won't go anywhere and get backed up, flooding areas.
Had nothing much else of anything going on, so i was out in my neighborhood, clearing the drains and gutters, before another heavy rain squall comes in again as the weather folks on the tv are telling us.
Not being a saint or anything, but just being a good resident in the neighborhood that i live in.

Yeah, my Dakota R/T (17x9) had a steelie spare.
I bought a set of R/T wheels (plus another pair with a 9 1/4 SG R/T axle) at junk yards cheap.
I think I gave $150 for both wheels and the axle.
One is now the spare.
Plan was to paint a full set of four "body color" at some point.

My Renegade came without any spare at all.
Bought a correct OEM alloy wheel on ebay for just over a hundred bucks total.

Finally got 'er done..... fitted an auxiliary power supply to a customer's Jeep Rubicon. Been trying to get this done for about a year now - needed to park inside his factory while the site was closed....time and circumstances finally aligned today.

Pete my customer bought a small military styled air compressor for pumping tyres and various items a while back but had no easy way to power it. He doesn't want to lift the hood each time he uses t, so I installed a cable set to the rear Tuff-deck canopy.

I am so pleased I have done this now, and Pete is really happy too. The main cable run inside the chassis rail and pops out just above the LHS shock absorber - from there it runs in tough flexible conduit into a hole I drilled through a heavy plastic bung in the front wall of the bedliner deck. I fitted Anderson plugs in place of the crappy crocodile clamps and added rubber push-on covers. Protect
ed by an appropriately rated circuit breaker at the battery. Since that compressor has a maximum draw of 45 Amps at 12 Volts. Way too much for a cigarette lighter socket.

Cortisone injection in my right knee.

I had cortisone injections for bursitis in both shoulders around 2005.
Went from about 50% range of motion to 75% in one day, 90% the next.
One went to 95% in another week the other 98%.
Haven't checked until just now-
Both are 100%.

Thanks. It feels better. Still sore, from 3 months of no treatment and resultant disuse (to my normal level anyway).

Official diagnosis is shredded meniscus, recommends surgery next month...but I'm working out of town for 3 months, and have to average 14,000 steps a day - bleachers, stairs, ladders, in and out of personnel lifts, lift/twist/carry equipment....

The good news? I'm working for a sports league. I can't swing a stick without hitting eight or ten sports doctors. Starts hurting again? "Hey, who can give me a cortisone shot?".

Next year in July I am 80. Big brother said I need to be healthy to retain my licence. So I have used this as an excuse to get thoroughly checked. So far I am doing okay.
There are a lot of things like annual checks that they do not do for free after 75. I will get the official forms in January.
Big brother said I can get the forms filled six months either side of 80. We will be in Alaska July 026, so I will get the forms filled early. My knees hurt a bit, but I seem to be in better shape than most others. This mini vacation over Christmas is working well.

I have been quite productive while doing nothing on the mainland. Three stumps have been pulled, and two trees have been cut up for firewood. Gotta love the younger more productive folks. My security camera on the front porch has captured the action.
