What did you do today....other than work on your car!?

I went to the local Tool Supply Shop that I have an account with - small "Mom &Pop" type store. I refuse to buy from Bunnings big box store for various reasons.
Anyway, I asked Kris the owner if he had crow's feet.

He replied "No, it's just the way I'm standing."

All kidding aside, I picked up these - waiting on a metric set to arrive next week or so. I also grabbed a nice set of brake line wrenches as my others are of the cheaper variety and they tend to spread their legs when pressure is applied....like a two-dollar hooker.

:xscuseless:

It's the same here to apply for a Driver's licence for new drivers.

And yet you can get a passport with only a valid ID and photo online here. :realcrazy:

Found that out when applying for an ID for my younger son to start at University..... crazy stupid rules are all mixed up. Ended up getting a Passport for him in less than a week, without virtually no ID just so he could get a Student ID. Knucking futs.
Looks as New Zealand is as backwards as us here in the States. I haven't looked into renewing my passport. Today? New Zealand and/or Australia are only a few I would like to visit. I think I'll pass on anything Europe. And certainty not east of EU.

Can’t hide money.

Retardation started around the same time as Covid......

I applied for my passport renewal on a Saturday evening online over a year ago, and by the Monday morning at 9:15am I was notified that it was in the Courier for delivery the next day. That is efficiency ....although I paid extra for fast service due to there being an 8-week delay in standard delivery.

Renewed my DL online last time but had to go in to the DMV this time. Odd that I had to produce my BC or passport (don't have one) for the DL but didn't need that to renew my concealed carry license.

Anyways, washed the ditches and made the bed then threw away a box of old spark plug wires. Also had to pick up the dump that my Belvedere did.....the piece of sheet metal acting as the trunk floor fell through. Placed it better and then didn't load so much heavy stuff on that area. Also put the garbage can out on the street since it's suppose to rain in the morning maybe. Trash truck usually comes early on Saturdays and don't feel like having to take it out early and in the rain. Already had a quick shower here and we sure need it.

Tried out the pressure pot blaster I built this winter on a wheel I will put a new tire on for a spare. Have been pushing my luck cruising around in the Roadrunner out in the boonies with no spare or jack.

Went to the first day of the March Meets in Famosa[ Bakersfield]. Met up with a friend of the new owner to take it east when they head home. Had it for 22 years. Got a ride back with a friend.

More *** bustin tryin to get 3 12x20 units worth of stuff into 2 units.
Had a Maytag front load washer I don't even remember where it came from.
Tested it last weekend and it works and doesn't leak!
Sold it to a tenant today for $50 do I don't have to find a place to store it.
Tested a "U" design window AC that was left by a tenant that skipped out.
Dang! that works, too.
I'm goin vertical for a few things.
Bought heavy L brackets to hand scaffolding sections, and started planning a shelf and hook to hang a 42" drop trap and 5 humane 36" traps.
That will make room for the vintage tire changer (need to list that on CL) and the 48x72 shelf.
Also started cutting down some small trees that have grown between building 2 and the fence.
That's NOT fun as there only about 30" to work.

Pretty much finished the workbench, will add more braces to it, just a couple of pieces cut at 45 degrees made a huge difference in stability. Good example of the strength of triangulation there.
Then UPS drops a package off, I was expecting a new cat scratching post so tore into the box and its a weird steel plate.... Oops they gave me a neighbor's package. I call UPS and get offshore help, placed on hold a couple of times, the lady says that yes they left it at the wrong house, but I need to call the company that sent it to get them to have UPS to pick it up. I asked to clarify, that I have to do it, its not enough that UPS made the mistake (neighbor has a similar house number) and that I am on the phone with UPS, I have to call a third party? She said yes and I said hell no, that it will go back out front and if its not picked up by trash day it will get thrown.

She tried to put me on hold again and I said have a nice weekend and hung up, then decided I will attempt to be a nice neighbor, looked up the address, its a few houses up and I don't think they speak English, so I left it at their door and knocked. Hopefully they aren't too bothered that the package was opened.
