pic was 1968 Roadrunner 100 mph into a bridge in Nanuet NY in 1968...not someone i knew, but a terrible waste nonetheless..
I just realized that's a vintage photo. Thought it was a recent one at first just done in b/w. Looks like the grill (which is actually there) is perfectly compacted into the space where the heater core should be. The engine and trans would have been sitting in the space between the rear package shelf and the dash.
My dad totaled a 69 RR 4 months after he bought it and thankfully walked away, well after they got him back around from being knocked out. He was driving to work, hit a dry spot on an icy road, then sideways into an embankment of some kind, which shot him out the passenger window and out into a field.
Oh, he immediately went out and bought another 69 RR, which were apparently hard to find as he had to go to several dealerships to find another 4 speed.
