I’ve had some issues with new lifters in the past. I vaguely remember someone saying that some new lifters are not good quality. Also heard that there are only a couple manufacturers and different brand names are by put on them.
I have a new set of Sealed Power lifters, should I use them? Are there better option?
Any input on lifters is welcome.

I've heard that the Johnson Hydra Lift is the best. I believe they make lifters for others as well.

I wouldn't be afraid of the Sealed Power lifters. Stay away from the Comp Cam lifters though. . Seems to be a lot of failures there.

What are you putting them on, new or used cam? Do you know when were these were made? Are they still clean and rust free? They are name brand so should be fine.

I ask because you never know what some folks will try to do.

A guy had a new cam & lifter kit with surface rust on it and just scotchbrited it off and used it. Never heard of it lasted.

I just talked with a guy that put 2 new lifters in a 300K (300,000 miles) engine and is mad that it still makes noise.

Uncle Tony had some bad sealed power lifters, but he did come up with an odd conspiracy theory about them being customer returns.
I used Rhoades this year and have had no trouble so far. I heard that their bodies are made by Johnson

I've used Comp Cams lifters in 95% of the engines I've built and never had one failure.

I've used Comp Cams lifter in quite a few engines as well. Only had one lifter failure in a race engine and it was a solid roller on a .700 lift cam. I suspect it was a dry start condition. After that I installed a pre lube system and no further problems, and it has been well over 10 years! ruffcut

Comp lifters always worked flawlessly for me..right up until I hit 'ludicrous rpm'
If you're concerned about going that route call Mike Jones @ Jones Cams, he supplies the good Hylift-Johnson tappets and he can tell you for sure all about who makes what and where the foundries are and all that stuff..

The one I have I bought 3-5 years ago and didn’t use them. Still sealed in plastic. Going in a new 440.

Before I installed these brand new lifters, I had to disassemble, clean and oil them as they were full of some sort of cleaning solvent. Been working fine since I installed them. Could have been disastrous
