What does a Mechanic Say?

Bash it with a hammer.

First hand experience this afternoon. Front wheels would not turn. Rotors stuck to callipers. I put on two wheel nuts, got the big pry bar and applied some pressure. David bashed the calliper with a hammer, and the wheel turned. I did give him a choice of 2 bashing sticks. He reported some wear on the pucks / pads, and I showed him the new set I had ready to install.

Worst thing to have ever been canceled is the Detroit 2 stroke diesel engine......the 671 will run forever.

As long as there is oil under it !
Over seas countries run the heck out of the old 2 stroke Detroit’s.

When I first got in the business one of the older mechanics said to me
"Go get that Louisville and bring it in the shop"
I said to myself WTF is a Louisville?
Luckily one of the other guys realized I was lost and explained it was a Ford truck because that's where it was built

L was Louisville , several flavors L8 &9000 Etc
LTL was Louisville Truck Line , usually a 9000. It had the very good looking front end — quad headlamps with black accents around them. Good old trucks , Not a Mack but good trucks.
I think SUVs are now on that line.

The muffler guy asked me “ Are you the guy with the Rambler “ The head guy had told the mechanic to find the guy with the classic, and fix the exhaust leak.
I did not own a Rambler.
