What might this be?

No idea what this belongs to. From what I can tell it does not match up to the intake on RR hood inserts. Orange pinstripes, no markings I can find.

The air intake is on the lateral side like the RR, just not positioned to align. I like that 400 though…forgot about those.

More weird stuff. Was halfway stoked when I pulled this out today as I was rummaging through another tote full of parts. Ran the number and it is all over the place. Put pics up on a Ford site and a reply said it was for a 4 speed OD in a Granada. Not saying the guy was wrong but Granada didn’t pop up anywhere I looked.

The part number shown on the shifter base is a Ford format number. The number breaks down as follows:

• D = 1970s decade
• 7 = Introduced in 1977
• D = Model family: Falcon (1960-69), Maverick (1970-74), Granada (1975-82), LTD (1983-later).... With 1977 introduction, family is Granada (1975-82)
• B = Engineering office: Overseas Product Engineering
• "-" = separator
• 15546 = base part number within the foregoing
• "-" = separator
• AA = Part revision level

The following image shows the shifter in a 302 powered 1977 Granada:

"ITM" denotes Inland Tool Machine, which was part of General Motors. Inland made some shifters for other brands including Chrysler.

NOTE: I am not a Ford person, but I have delved into their numbers before and I do like the structure and formatting that they used.

I remember Inland shifters in 1966-early 1968 B-bodies. They were a mess. They had a distinctive "acorn" shaped knob and a pull-up toggle to get into the Reverse gate. I once built a "phantom" 1967 Coronet R/T 3- seat wagon, complete with 440 and 4-speed. I was careful to build it as authentically as Chrysler could have. To this end, it had a bucket seat interior with "Buddy" seat. I sourced a long non-console Inland shifter lever and adapted it to a Hurst shifter guts, under the floor, to continue this factory look. I understand that Brewer's offers a conversion kit, now, to do this same thing.
