What's The Fastest Speed You Have Been

If I'm feeling good I hit at least 5 mph with my good walking shoes. I've been known to hit 6 going downhill !!!!

These new bikes don't seem to have head-shake/wobble, anymore. The naked beasts are silly[but BIG fun]. You can't hang on to them at the speeds they're capable of. All these speed stories show me how many people enjoy the liberties and choices we have here in this country.....but it's changing. sigh.

I had my 05 Nissan Titan 4x4 at 120 (Changed Speed setting in ECU) that was fun.
Was having a contest of speed in my Charger back in the 80's, by the time I passed the other and started slowing down, my speedo was sweeping back past 130.
Have had many cars at the 120 mark over the years, fun times.

Yeah, robot cars now,,,theyll be force feeding us that & removing our right to transport ourselves anymore.

I had 3 318 B bods, drove them all flat out.... . about 120 mph worth of pony......i loved them, bone stock, no sway bars.....& they went where pointed.......just tired them up some for some footprint.
In 1982, w/ my 69 Coronet 500, on Hwy One Shoreline, just north of GG Bridge in Marin County, Ca., between Muir Woods & Stinson Beach. (very tight road on the Pacific cliffs) i wound up init w/ a CHP.....in a then new Mopar Police Interceptor. I slaughtered Him........& He loved it!
He said He had been driving that swing shift beat on One for 25 yrs & had never had so much fun giving chase......i always pick my lines in my own lane.......the *** creeps over center some. The Cop was blown it was a stock 2 bbl 318. If He had walked to back of car & seen the mismatched tyres......could have spiked Him to cardiac. Car had Daisy mags w/ Pro Trac bias 60's.
I had shredded a rear tire a couple days beforehand, so i stuck on a Pirreli CN-36 70 series radial.
Story too long winded, but the Cop never called the flee in. I so love that stretch of road......theyve recently fixed the earthquake damage & repaved it glass.....beautifully cambered,,,mini country

Driving: 1978 - My 68 Bengal Charger R/T. Driving home about 3 AM, I hit the throttle at the top of the Ford Rd. ramp entering the Southfield Fwy. I looked down about 1/2 mile later and saw 145 MPH on the 150 dial. Young, dumb kid.
Riding: 2014 - 14 Mustang Shelby GT 500.
I was attending a work outing at the Ford Michigan Proving Grounds and they were giving rides on the 4 mile oval at 160 MPH. Management Limited.

154--2009 BMW 335xi.

late for work one morning (start at 5:00am) and I knew I was hauling ***; but it felt like 70-80 and the car was stable as hell. those Germans know how to build a car I tells ya.

140 thru the corn fields in my 2004 SRT-4 Neon. I had to let off-running out of road, but I'm sure it had another 10 MPH left!
My biggest fear here in Michigan is the deer!

“Speed is irrelevant if you are going in the wrong direction.”

But I've gone about 152 .....

150+ (maybe 155?) in a '77 Cordoba running a calibrated speedometer out of a police car. '71 440, 915 heads, old purple 292/509 cam, headers, 2.76 gear ratio and about 2-3 miles to hit that speed..... car would drift 1/2 lane every time I hit a pebble in the road

The older Saab 900 S Turbo was an extremely sure footed car.......not so good looking, but quite fast.......real nice brakes......haul down under heavy load arrow straight...non-abs.
