Whats the longest you've waited for parts?

I ordered a used item from a FABO member in NY state and it took almost 4 weeks to arrive. It was promptly shipped USPS (post office) and they routed it to Massachusetts, then I think Connecticut, then Missouri, then to Indianapolis where it sat for 2 weeks. Finally it arrived in Ohio, only 2 states away from origination.

I also ordered a simple $10 item from Amazon for my grandson's birthday that shipped from the east coast to Ohio. Inexplicably it was routed through Indianapolis again and got lost. It was ordered 2 weeks in advance of and finally after 4 weeks I requested a refund. I guess the small business had to eat the cost. Funny that while these things sat in Indy I was getting almost daily status updates from USPS.

I googled Indianapolis post office and there were so many complaints the state of Indiana had to investigate. They had built a very expensive state-of-the-art facility but the workers were completely demoralized due to administrative problems. So many employees quit that most things just sat around forever because they were under-staffed. A deep bureaucratic black hole.

Please DOGE, look at the USPS!
But let's not go down that path.

....and the flip side of this.....

Guy calls up and orders a letter set for his hood....order is processed and shipped out within 48 hrs to him. He receives part 3 days later via FedEx Express(he's on the Atlantic side), then he calls us back and said he didn't receive his parts "on time" and informs me he has disputed the charges with his credit card company.....then hangs up in my ear!!!

NOWHERE on his order form does he request any kind of "expedited" or overnite shipping what-so-ever......

Now there's a "class act" for sure........

RockAuto can't be beaten when it comes to molded carpet sets.
It's not carpet.

Back around 1970 I ordered a Lakewood hydro-formed bell housing when they were first advertised. Evidently they had problems with the forming process and I had to wait 1 1/2 years to get it. Since the only alternative was the uber-heavy Ansen cast steel housings, I decided to wait.

How about "indefinitely"? I had a 3-month long back-and-forth with that miscreant from Liberty Mopars and finally said fuggit and canceled my credit card payment.

I haven't ordered one yet, but I'm still waiting for the 440 magnum pie tin from classic industries. That's coming soon! for OVER 2 YEARS! LOL!

I waited over a year to get a reproduction 6 pack air cleaner assembly from classic industries but it was at the end of the (hina virus so most suppliers were lacking supplies I guess.

It is actually heavy steel. The element fits good but unsure what a proper element is.
This is going on a Mancini reproduction 6-pack for a 383 B Block so not stock

That element LOOKS like a proper oem fram, which were disco'ed a few years ago. How exact it is, I wouldn't know, but one of the A12 guys here could tell you.
I was just wondering if it would be a K&N knockoff.
And, for what it's worth, all oem Sixpack intakes, iron or aluminum, were painted.

It's supposed to be an oem replacement fram according to Mancini
Couple of things to note the metal dimple wrap I'll call it that holds the paper element in place has the punch holes facing out and I would think they would be in but no idea.
And yes I will be painting the intake, it just came silver from Mancini and this was a bench mock up.

Do the six pack kit come with a coil bracket on the side?

That looks nice, I don’t think I would paint it.

Legendary seat covers, around 10 months.
Legendary door cards, about 4 months. I forgot I ordered the things until they showed up.

Legendary seat covers (blue) took about 7-8 months.
Cast iron MP hemi engine block with 4.5" bore took couple 3 years to find one for sale. P5153862.

I am still waiting for a Charger dash fascia from Mitchell Motors. So how long ago was that? lol.

Does the Passion performance A-855 count?

I waited 5 years for my A-855. I know the issues people have had in the past waiting for them, and even with quality issues with earlier models.

All I can say is that mine fits perfectly with zero mods, works excellent and has been happily living behind my 500 CI stroker!
