It MEANS it!! I was just going to spray it on something and not touch the stuff but it built up around the spray nozzle and it did burn my index finger. It's not like it was burned by heat but if anyone has ever had a chemical burn, you know what I mean. Don't even touch the dang can without protective gloves!

I use it all the time. Has great uses. Don't breath it either. Also don't use on anything aluminum or anodized.

I haven't used it on very many things but my deep fryer was pretty gungy so I went after it and it's all stainless. It's just has a 6x6x12 tank but you can still produce a lot of okra with it :D Thought about going after my turkey fryer but it's aluminum :( Got a suggestion on what will cut off the old peanut oil easily as Easy Off does?

Yes I do. Put the tank back in the unit and fill half way or so with hot water. Dissolve some 'low-foam soap' like laundry detergent in it. Turn it on and 'boil it out' for 15 minutes or so. Watch it doesn't boil over....play with the thermostat to keep it boiling as much as possible without it going over. The oil hardened grease will melt off.

This is how we cleaned out deep fryers in restaurants, except they were much larger units obviously.

I use it all the time to strip the anodizing of the grilles, and yes, it's some nasty stuff. Gloves are a must, and a mask if there is kind of wind blowing.

My Ex got oven cleaner on her arm past the gloves she was wearing. It was on there about 15 minutes before she noticed. The flesh just washed off with water and then she felt it big time. 2 silver dollar sized scars.

yea I get the lemon flavor smells good but it does burn you think I would learn to wear gloves even when I use paint stripper outside one gust of wind its all over me burns like hell I just have a bucket of water near to dip my hands in.

What other automotive things do use use it on?

I cleaned my 318 with wal mart brand "no fumes" oven cleaner.

Not nearly as caustic (or expensive) as easy off, and it still did a much better job than engine de-greaser.

I've been using it for years to clean engines and transmission, scrape all heavy deposits off, soak in oven cleaner and then power wash. Works great but yes it's some nasty stuff.

Are you doing this on engines that are still in the car?

Easy off is a caustic (lye or sodium hydroxide) and will eat grease like crazy. Think the old hot tanks! Also if you want to get rid of a body....but you may need a few cans!

X2 on boiling the crud out of a pan. Ancient Chinese secret (from my buddy's mom who used to be a cook at a Chinese restaurant). It's how they clean the wok.
