-27 here, -49 with the wussy windchill. The entire community gathers at midnight to watch fireworks. Sure it's uncomfortable but we gather because we are aware that on some level it's part of what makes us us. Tonight was spectacular with a bright full moon and a dazzling display of northern lights.

-30 celsius in Brockville Ontario Canada. Been like this in the -20 to minus 30 all week. the cold is starting to get into everything.
Many frozen pipes to contend with for sure. Ohhh for a nice summer drive in the 64. Happy new year to all and the best in 2018.

We see this happen all the time up here. Someone comes up with the bright idea of leaving a tap or toilet running to keep their pipes from freezing. They don't realize that once water hits the freezing point it is, ummmm, freezing. Waterfalls freeze all the time.

I hate to keep beating this horse, but I gotta...
It's -31 right now without the windchill, going to be -39 tonight with windchill of minus 50!. Supposed to be the same tomorrow then warming up to the mid -30's. My heating bill (propane) last month was just over $800.00. Power bill gonna be over $200 because we have to plug our Jeep in at night.
