Where did you and your car go today

My beautiful wife and I enjoyed the train ride

So today marked my wife and mine’s 51st anniversary. I asked her what she wanted to do today and she replied, let’s go for a ride in the Plymouth. Yay! We were reminiscing about a pic that she put on fb of our wedding and how the moon was full the night before as it was last night. I couldn’t recall what the moon was like as I was out with the guys in our wedding and she was out with girlfriends. I really don’t remember what we did that night, but do remember that her dad let me and the guys take his new 1970 roadrunner to Daytona. It was a little over a year later that we bought the Satellite.

Great story, thanks for sharing !! Every great story starts or ends with a car!!

I have ridden that route several times on the motorcycle. It is a great road.
On the way to St Louis we would come down the Illinois side then ride the golden eagle ferry across the river.
The great river road is the Illinois side and I go across the river on golden eagle ferry every once in awhile. I really enjoy the ride, it's beautiful.

Yeah that is a nice trip. I been wanting to take my 65 on that trip

Went thrifting and pawn shopping last weekend to shake down my recently repaired AC.
(pic is actually at the liquor store, though)

Did not get as hot running the AC in stop and go traffic as it did before the 134 vented out the pressure switch necessitating the repair.

Pretty stoked. almost in time for "not driving in the rain" season.

Followed a guy driving a 1970 torino notch with duals down the busy 4 lane main drag for a few blocks.

Finally caught up to him just before my destination.

...but he was on his phone and never saw me in his rear view or even after I pulled along side.

So if you were in central FL, driving a red torino with "rowena" in stick on letters on the trunk-

I tried to give you a wave- get off your phone and enjoy driving!

TGIF.. not that what day of the week it is really matters! Granma got the day off today, so I took her out to the first "real" restaurant we've been to since Covid started ! How they manage to serve cold food on a 90 degree day is beyond me. Bee running in the heat like the well behaved gal she's always been!

A little splash before we go..

Don't worry, I always open her door for her...

Slowest friggin drive through in town. 32C but Therapy only hit 200F during the 15 minute wait in the line.

A & W take out...

How they can manage to serve ice cold food on a 90F day is beyond me and ripped us off for a hamburger to boot!

Running 180F on a 190 stat on the highway, what's not to love !

Home safe and sound again, dusty as hell though. Bastards graded our road while we were out...

Guess I should get a vacuum on that interior..

Letting her cool off before I put her back into the hive.

Lowes to look for some paint to match a project air compressor I got running and a dryer limit switch.

They had neither, but I enjoyed the drive (and the working AC).

Had to get out, so like always, I get on the road and just drive and drive to clear my head.
