Where to find a steering coupler for a 1973 Charger?

One consideration to the hockey puck idea.....
If the rubber fails on an original those 4 steel "triangles" will allow some degree of steering ability, albeit very sloppy.
If the $5 hockey puck fails, you will lose all steering control.

I would be interested to see what is inside the Bouchillion part.
I agree, which is exactly what happened to mine (pic attached). Steering was sloppy.
The Bouchillion part is a solid metal piece, powder coated if I understand the description correctly.
The one bad thing about is what that part is meant to do, absorb shocks from bumps etc. With the solid piece, I feel everything in the wheel now ... but I will take it as apposed to the sloppy steering previously.
As far as the hockey puck idea, you could put two thin pieces of sheet metal on either side to make up for the loss of the "triangles". That would still give you steering of the hockey puck fails.

I have the steel on I made installed and i don't notice any vibration issues versus when the original was installed.

I intended to reuse the metal parts with the holes for the bolts.

That way if the puck melts, the bolts will hit each other and provide steering, much like the original intent.

I was afraid my suspension components were failing until I saw that coupler and verified that all the play was there.
