Let's see your torque thrusts. What offset should I be looking for with a front set for a 64 dodge? I'm thinking maybe 15x7s or narrower.

I'm seeing a 15x7 w 3.75 backspace and a 15x6 w a 3.625, both would be fine correct?

I have 6" Torque Thrust Ds on the front of my 62 Plymouth with the standard 3 1/2" back space and 225/70-15 tires. I could fit a much wider wheel and tire under it but didn't want to on this car (manual steering). The rear are 10" wheels with 3 3/4" back space and 325/50-15 tires.

15 X 8's 4.5 BS and 4.5 X 15"

Ok, I should be ok then. I'll be running something like these on the front, with powder coated cop wheels and pie crusts on the rear. Good point about the manual steering.

Don't forget to check the load rating on the skinnies..........a lot of the cars I see are way too heavy for the ratings. Tirerack.com is a good place to check all the specs.

Mine are the standard 15 x 6 and I use a standard street radial tire on it of 215/70/15. Ron

Ply Ratings

I'm running the 8 ply Mickey Thompsons in for that very reason... 3,000+ load rating... for heavier cars

Your right Colorado Dave, you got to be careful the 4 plys are at the limit... good for a Vega or Monza, but wouldn't be puttin my favorite Mopar on em...

Just a note, Eagle Alloys make a knock off of the TT, model number 111 for them. You can get them for $125 ea and I am told they are made in the US, which does make a difference to me. Something to consider if you're in the market.

Glen,
I like your car. Sits right.

Thanks Colorado!

Actually a bit higher than I'm used too... The new M&H's are 29" tall. Thinking of putting a block in the back, drop it 1" like the 28" McCearys I had on there...
They were both 275 X 60's but the M&H's are a lot taller...

I have a set of Tri City Competition rear springs for her, but I am scared I will have a "Stink Bug" on my hands... jacked up in the rear. Lol

Thanks Again-

i looked at set of these wheels at a good guys meet and the vendor told me they were chinese. its my understanding that all tt's are made in china now, but you might want to double check that.

what kind of lug nuts are used on the torq thrust wheels? info says 60* conical. a mag style lug is not used? thanks 64

Just got a set from Summit, 7 for the front and 8 for the back... the finish is really good. The box plainly shows its 'made in the USA' on the side in very large letters. I'd say they are a very good alternative to TT if the wallets a little on the empty side.
