I think so. Both car guys..

Not quite sure why James Dean was so popular. The movies kinda sucked . I do keep forgetting though. It was a free for all when the tv was invented.

Changed my opinion of Steve McQueen after seeing the movie STEVE MCQUEEN: THE MAN and LE MANS. You might too.

whoever we think is cool...an actor, solider, whoever....first and foremost they are human. Plain and simple, and there was only one that didn't make any mistakes.

for famous people that most would recognize the name

James Garner was a pretty damn cool dude

born James Scott Bumgarner 1928 died at 86 in July 2014
Garner owned & raced many different cars, owned his own race team
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Garner
American International Racers, Trans Am series, Indy & F1,
Chaparral CanAm & even Baja 500/1000 etc.
Until the studios stopped him, he still did the occasional
driving & stunts in his movies Grand Prix was an early one
he did some serious of road racing, him & McQueen were very much alike
he was a real true honest car guy, Korean War Vet
& he was a diehard RAIDERS Fan too...

decent actor, when men acted like men
a really good golfer too

for people with recognizable names/celebrities

Uncle Ted Nugent, is a pretty damn cool dude too
was much cooler, when much younger

My 'Great Uncle' Tink, my Uncle John, Uncle Jim (Tink's sons)
& my Uncle Ron quite possibly the best man to walk on the face of earth...
all RIP now
they all fought in wars for our great country, Army & Marines

I hope I can live up to 1/2 of what they all were...

my Uncle John was a "real life bad ***", Lt. Green Beret
& he was a true car guy, (I've told this here before too)

I vividly remember him taking me for a beat run in his
brand new 1968 Barracuda Formula S 383cid 4 speed, right off the lot
I had just turned 9, he was 29, he was my idol for a time...
He died way to young, from chemicals complication after Viet Nam
& getting shot, while on 5 tours of duty in-country...

He had bought a brand new 71 Super-bee/Charger R/T 440 4 speed
let me drive it around the parking lot in Park & Shop center in Concord
I though he was the coolest & baddest guy on planet earth

He was attempting to get into the Astronaut program
when he started having medical problems...
Lost him at age 39, in 1979
