Why older ads are being locked?

I was trying to update one of my old for sale threads with more parts involved related to same car ( instead place a new ad ) and I can't because they are being locked! Why?

Because it's Joey's board and you have to play by his rules. There was a huge debate on this earlier this year and the rule still stands.
I'm sure Joey would say, if you don't like it, take your biz elsewhere.
