Will a 215/70R15 fit in the spare tire well? 66 Coronet

Well your tire being a 75 series tire actually is within .7" of the height of the tire in question.... How tight does your tire fit in the tire well? Can you get your fingers between the tire & the well?

I've had 225-75-15's on 7" rims on my 66 Belvedere and the car was lower in the front by at least 2" and 1" in the back. Right now there's 235-75's on the back and they look close to the upper outside well but I have a 68 Charger rear end in it at the moment. There's no fenders on the front at the moment so......

I think it will fit in there, but your trunk board will be raised about an inch and the trunk mat will be humped up.

Oh crap..... Spare tire well well well lol. I think I have a 215 70 that's even mounted but I don't have a spare tire well in my car anymore!

The tire that I have mounted is a 205/70-15.....26" tall.

OK boys - here are some pics of my set up. It fits good in the well with the 205/75-14 and the overall diameter is very close to what's on the ground (245/60/14) and also the other consideration was to make sure the fiberboard cover would still sit flat in the trunk floor. Originally I tried to use a matching 14x7 wheel I had for the spare but it would not allow the board to sit flat.
