Long story short, my younger brother up in washington has a really nice set of black 17" rims on his 98 mustang GT. Well he wants a set of 15" rims to help raise his car and give him better grip. Im hoping if any one of yall would know if the bolt pattern would fit before we go shipping rims across the nation. Ive tried looking up the pattern but i dont quite understand it.

They are NOT mustang rims, so i wont be violating my charger.

Take a tape measure and start at one of your holes, skip the next hole and measure across to the next one. Make sure you go center to center. Then call your brother and have him do the same. That should give you your bolt pattern. It should be 4.5 inches.

Bolt pattern is identical at 4.5 inches, however, the backspacing is waaaay different between the two and will tuck your tires deeply, possibly requiring spacers on your part

more information about the rims would be good, what width what backspace(offset).

what year charger is yours.

the maximum you can fit on a 68-70 b body is 20 x 8 front (go for around 5" backspace)
rear 20 x 10 and aim for about 5.6" backspace to put wheel incentre of wheel well.

and stud pattern for dodge and ford are same which is 5 x 4.5" (5 x 114.3mm)

like greg said if the offset (BS) is wrong you will have to put spacers on etc

by maximum i mean recommended maximum, i know a few of the pro touring guys have put 10" rims on the front and 12" on the back etc.
that is just a guideline for a stock car.
