Thank to a FBBO member, found and purchased a perfect set of wiper blades for my '72 SSP project car: NAPA 60-1647. Unfortunately, the drivers side wiper is about an inch off the glass now. It seems the serrated stud that the arm mounts on is tilted just slightly towards the driver's door, and this tiny tilt is multiplied (because of the laws of leverage) so that the wiper is completely off the glass. It was a real pain mounting back in the windshield wiper motor and related hardware after they had been removed during body work/paint. I wonder where I went wrong? I thought I had tightened all the fasteners evenly and very carefully. I don't believe there is any indexing involved. See fotos:

P.S. I made my own gasket, would that have caused a problem?
