68 Charger won’t start. Newer battery fully charged, brand new starter. Car sat for two months and now it won’t crank. Turned the motor by hand via crank bolt. Sound like the starter wants to turn the motor but engine won’t crank. Connections are good, fluids are good…just put it away a couple month ago and now nothing….

What is the voltage on the battery? So you get a click like the solenoid trying to kick the gear into the flywheel? Battery to starter wire solid on the connections?

Get a jump pack and try and jump it.

You need some test equipment if you don't already own it. I would have a DVOM, a set of jumper leads and a remote starter switch if working alone. The harbor freight stuff would be ok for checking most electrical on old cars.

Yes that’s exactly what it’s going. I will have to check the voltage, the car is on a lift in the garage. I did try and start it with the jumper pack on as well but made no difference.

How old is the big cable from the battery to the starter ?

I went through the same thing and it turned out the cable was all green inside the end the bolts to the starter
Another cable and all was good

If the car is on a lift try to get a jumper cable and go from the plus on the battery to the nut that bolts the big cable to the starter and try the key again will tell if it is the cable

I’ll give it a shot in the next day or two, thanks
