Dang you got your hands full man...Keep us posted on the build!!!!
Petty Blue 67 GTX

Thx guys, needs both rear quarters and the full trunk pan, full drivers side floor and the passenger side front floor, the tunnel is good and I'm hoping the supports are good.
I need to start it and drive it before I can take it all apart though. The front end is good and the doors and posts.... lost of good metal still left on it and we drove it to where its parks but would not get restarted with the make-shift fuel pump setup it had so that's where I started. Need to Get it back to running dependable and then start taking it apart....LOL.. I'll need to drive it to the welder if I don't buy one and maybe the blaster if I dont use the small one I have

Dude, nice car, at least it is a prime candidate to be a super nice car when done! You have some bad rust issues there friend, as you know. You said blaster, this is my bread and butter, are you saying you have a blaster? Well friend, good luck! My advice: strip it down completely, send the shell and parts to your local media blaster, not a soda blaster as you need something to rid yourself of rust.

Nice car!
Check out my thread on this very forum "B Body Stiffening" and you will see what you are up against. Floors, qtrs, dutchman,I'm guessing the rockers are going to have some rot in them somewhere. What about the doors and the pillar posts? You might not see it now (I didn't ) but you will be suprised at what gets exposed when you media blast it as Donny suggests. If you don't get it blasted you will surely be covering over rot that will haunt you later AFTER you have spent a TON of $$$.
AMD will be your best friend! I wish they had the qtrs before I did mine over. They may seem expensive but they are worth every penny!

Whats AMD?
I want to do a complete frame off, just not sure I have the space and ability. But like I said I do have a small blaster and there is a guy up the road, just not sure if I can get like a temp registration or trip permit to drive it up there and back, he has a real setup of course. But most definitely I plan to alleviate all rust. This is a keeper, I've had a chance to sell it already but I want to do this one right and keep it. I might have to trailer it, not sure if I can gte someone to do it cheap enough, its just 5 miles to get there or a little less

Ouch! I thought my Captain Corrosion Plymouth was living in the Crusty Kingdom of Rot and Rust, but brother you may taken the cake on this one. Needless to say you have a serious amount of work coming your way.

Time to roll up the sleeves and aquire a few bloody knuckles along the way! Just throwing in my 2 cents here--- make sure you come up with a good game plan, have the right facility's, skill set and equipment to accomplish this work. And of course the time and money to back it all up. All to often we see projects fizzle out or restorations turning into a part sales because the key tool of just being prepared was never played out correctly.

Best of luck to you on your project 99ss. I'm sure there is a lot of other folks on here like myself looking forward to watching your project unfold. Always keep a positive attitude and have a metal picture of what she's gonna be someday. Throw in all of that with being properly prepared and a bunch of hard work and you'll have one hell of a nice looking muscle car sitting in your driveway not too far down the road.

99ss, dude, let me tell you what you want to do is going to cost you about 15,000 dollars to start with, and that's about half way there. A buddy up the street with a small blaster sounds like something you should avoid. See how long it will take you to completely clean a fender, inside and outside, I bet you he will take all day on Saturday, like 7 or 8 hours. A professional media blaster will take about 45 minutes, in this business, you are wasting your time and money and getting nowhere if you go that route you mentioned. But, it's always a live and learn adventure!

Good luck! For some ideas how far you will need to go, follow along at my website, follow the facebook links, and then go over to www.paintshop101.com for more sights to make your jaw drop...just an idea.

AND is Auto Metal Direct, they will have all, and I mean all the sheet metal you are GOING to NEED!!! Do not let that stop ya, make a plan, and as money/time allow, get it done and post pics along the way...we love the car ****!!!

No, what I said was that I have a small blaster and the guy up the street has a big one.

I've been using a paint remover as well from NAPA on this other car and it works well. Just a pad or wire wheel spiffs it up nice. I priced the sheet-metal once already and it was like $2600 for everything. It looks worse than it is, it hasn't been cleaned up at all but I certainly don't see 15000 there at all. The interior will be spendy but I'm not going modern with anything on it. Stock everything pretty much unless money falls from the sky it's a complete restoration but back not going to drop 30k into a satellite that had a 318 in it to begin with. It will never be worth real big money, but it will be a nice driver.

I come up with $2789 in sheet metal from them, maybe 200-400 more but the car from the back post forward is pretty solid. The frame is fine and I think all the supports are fine as well. Wont know until I cut the floors out.

That is a hell of a project! I am just saying be prepared for it to be worse then you think it is. To have the filler panel behind the rear window be as rotten as that one is, an awful lot of water has flowed through the bottom of your back window and down around your wheelhouses and hopefully your rear framerails aren't rotting from the inside out. You should replace your front floorpan with a one piece and not worry about saving your tunnel, you are just creating much more work for yourself. My car was in worse shape then yours, so it is not impossible and you will eventually spend no less then 15 to 20K on this when it is all said and done and that is if you do all of the work yourself. Good luck and keep postin'.

We're just saying that from years of experience in what things actually cost vs. what a person wants to pay is always, ALWAYS a big difference! Trust me, get this car professionally media blasted, it will come back telling no lies, no bull ****, just honest truth on the status of your car. Sanding discs, etc, man, I hate to tell 'ya but you are just spinning your wheels! If you were doing one fender that is replacing one that was damaged in a wreck, and this one fender came from a boneyard, then yeah, sand it with discs, but a whole car, dude...recheck your azimuth -- but...good luck! Looking fwd to seeing your car develop and as it gets 'nekkid' -- don't hold back with the photos.

I agree.
I have about $350 JUST in rotobroach spot weld bits! Hours add up FAST when you are paying somreone else to do things. Even if you do it yourself, lots of time but not as much expense.
It is FUN though.
