In the garage. Under the hood. Again.
Yes;I did search old threads for info,but...I was wondering if I can hook up my positive wire on my electric choke to the "INSTR"(instrument panel?) fuse on the fuse box? I don't have an extra "accessories" fuse spot. I tried the cigar lighter-no good,as it's ALWAYS hot. I'm already using the radio fuse for the tach, and don't want to run another wire there-unless you guys think it would work. As always;any help is appreciated!

OK then...I tried it and it worked-the choke mechanism didn't get hot or open the plate with the ignition off. It DID with the wire hooked up to the cigar lighter. I still may move it to the radio fuse, and use the "INSTR" fuse for the tach light. I sure as hell don't want to burn the car, garage and house down!

In case you were wondering...I decided to try the 750 Holley that I was saving for the planned engine in place of the Edelbrock 600 that was on the car. We'll see how that goes, and I'm sure I'll have a question or two,or thr...

Pretty quiet lately AL?

Yeah;been doing little stuff under the hood, getting wires and hoses rearranged and looking neater. A couple of small leaks needed fixin' as well. It's done nothing but effin' rain for the last couple of weeks,so I haven't had the opportunity to get out and see how the Holley will run. Nothing really wrong with the Eddy 600,but it just seemed "undercarbureted". I had very little residue on the plugs, even after a couple of hundred mile on the car,and figured I'd try the Holley. Getting anxious to find out;there's some shows and swaps coming up that I want to make and actually drive my car there!!!
