So iv been toying with the idea of getting a classic and restoring it this winter, being up in alberta my options are limited. i would like to find a A body but it just wont happen. I have been looking at these 75s and i think i could build it into what i have in mind.. just a classic mean looking car.

my question is about finding parts for these 75 road runners. I am new to this hobby and dont know where to look to give me a idea.

So i found this ad and the car is still available

What do you guys think

There aren't too many reproduction parts for the Volare/RR body styles of those years yet, I'm not sure were, I'm more of an B-Body 68-70 RR guy... try this site there are a bunch of links to Mopar parts Dealers @ www.MoparDealer.com

If I am not mistaken that car is a B body the Volare didn't start until 76.

Your going to find body panels only in used shape off of other like cars from Plymouth for the most part. Some Chrysler parts will interchange. Otherwise, most other parts will swap over except T-bars. The ISO suspension is a pain for the rear springs. Swapping over to the older spring system is easier.

From doing some research today, im pretty sure its a 1975 plymouth fury road runner. not the original motor they never came with a 440, but the paint seems to be authentic. Seems to be in decent shape though. If theres a solid base then it might spark my interest more.. i like the 440

Might be pretty tough to find interior parts

Im going to go have a peek at it this week.

Is it a 440 or a 400 ?

the problem with a car like that is you will have more into it, assuming you do a decent rebuild job, then it will ever be worth.

This is another major factor.

I have a old jeep tj i can work on this winter, fix the rust and sell it in the spring.. maybe then i will find something worth fixing

its also appears to be a very big car, i would rather something a little more charger, challenger or cuda looking... but dont we all

I think it would be worth it since they didn't make too many Fury Road Runners and yes they did come with a 400 Big block.

Yes it is a late B body

The most fun you could have with that car after you get it running would be to bring it to a demolition derby.

Sometimes it is better to keep ones mouth shut and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.:sideways tongue::jerk:

You said it Frank. This guy is an asshole.

MoParMikeY, what you said is true, not only for that car, but a good many in the hobby.
If you were to look at it from your
Point of view, money in, worth out, 99% of us would loose.

If your not in this car hobby to have fun, then I think for the most part your in the wrong game. Build what you want the way you want.

From where I sit, knowing much less than many Mopar maniacs on this board, I'd say that anything after '74 is worth very little. If this is your absolute dream car, then by all means buy it and pour money into it. But if you're on the fence, or you somehow think that you can sell it for anything in the future, I would steer clear. No disrespect to the 74-79 crowd, but you have to be very dedicated to restore this generation, since many people could care less about them and there's much less demand for parts as a result, meaning it's hard to get what you need. It may seem cheap, but a 3rd-gen Charger in the same condition would probably run $1000-3000 with much more potential for resale when restored. Just my 2 cents. Good luck!

There's a '75 clone on eBay right now (Fury rebadged as RR) that's way more "done" and sitting at only $2kUS last time I looked. Unless you enjoy tracking down parts at swap meets and fabricating the stuff you can't find, passing on the "cheap" one and going with a more complete car might be the way to go.

I believe there was a 75 road runner on ebay from out west for sale it did not sell go to completed sales and look it up:eusa_think:
