Hi all.

I took off all the windshield trim of the Sattie. I'm wondering if it's possible to remove the windshield without wrecking it. The previous owner replaced it in '06 and it's in good shape so I'd like to re-use it. It's held on with adhesive and there is no gasket.

Thanks

Yes I do it all the time. Get the glass removal wire. Work it into a corner then see-saw it back and forth around the glass.

i use a wire like mark does and if it gets hard to cut
i will hit the area with a heat gun to soften up the seal a bit.

Satman ,they sell the proper tool at Princess Auto

i have that tool and i still would rather use a wire instead..
that tool dosen't reach into certian corners
that the wire will get to with ease.

Here is the tool you need. Can be bought at a professional Auto Parts Store. http://www.toolweb.com/products/SGT87900

I used that tool and took out the front and back window on my 69 RR by myself with no problems. Whatever tool you use just take it slow and don't get in a hurry so you don't take a chance and cut into the glass.

I just always used an E guitar string and two screwdrivers. Tie one end to one screwdriver stick the other end through the sealer tie that end to the other screwdriver. One person on the inside one on the outside and saw that bad boy outta there in 5 minutes.
