I've always thought that Mopar factory HIP paint and (especially flat black) stripes were as good or better than most "custom" paint designs I've EVER seen.

Here's some proof.

If this high dollar "artist" is influenced by the Chrysler sport styling department...

I never have liked his taste. I know he builds some nice stuff, but it's not for me. I swear to God, I don't think he could do a true nut and bolt resto if you held a gun to his head. He'd put somethin custom on it somewhere.

The Firebird actually looks pretty good with the billboards, the plymouth not so much with the gm stripes.

I never cared for his "work"....detroit made them look the best!!!

Sorry Rusty, I know what a gentleman you are. I won't offend you again.:icon_lol:

I wasn't offended at all. I agree with you. and in the words of Roger Daltrey quit "talkin bout my generation". lol

I agree he is talented but no where near my taste in style. He thinks so much of him self that he thinks he can do anything and the public will love it. The average chevy boy has no brand loyalty you can do anything to them and they will like them. Our loyalty is why I think most shows dont do MOPARS.

I personally like the guy. I've had a conversation or two with him. He's very down to earth, and he actually works on the cars himself, he doesn't have to, but he has the passion to work on them still. Don't get me wrong, I haven't liked everything he's done. But I think he's a great guy. He has told me some info in the past that has helped me with the cars that I restore. Most of these type of guys wouldn't give me the time of day, but Chip Foose did.

Oh I'm sure he's a hell of a guy as I'm sure many plastic surgeons are. Why carve something up that is damn near perfect to begin with?

Just my opinion of the guy. You have your opinion, I have mine, thats all.

th (4).jpgth (2).jpgth.jpgth (3).jpgChip Foose is the man, I love his taste in cars and like most of what I've seen him do. I agree however that I would never put rally stripes on a Mopar but the car is bad as hell. As far as Detroit getting them right the first time "are you serious?" Yeah they got the body styles right but donut tires, less then ideal body gaps, shotty interior in lots of models, ill fitting bumpers and sloppy wiring to name a few are all things that could have been better which are the type of things he cleans up when building a car. My car has definetly been influenced by his work "don't worry" the paint job while not a Mopar color will be of a Mopar theme, the bumpers fit much better now than they did, the body gaps are much tighter than they where and engine compartment has been dramatically cleaned up from stock. Before you send hate mail, keep in mind I'm a Mopar fan and love almost every single model and will always favor the styling and power of the mighty Mopar. Hears a few pics of some of my favorite Foose builds, I'm usually not a big fan of the first gen Chargers but man that one sure looks good and the paint jobs on the Challengers are sweet.

The guy can draw like nobody's business, but I'm not much for applying that drawing to an actual car.
Although to each his own, you can't tell someone what to do to their car.
