Spot weld cutter

Can you guys give a little advice on a good spot weld drill bit, I was looking in Eastwood and found these, i don't want to order a couple cheap ones and thought maybe you guys that have used them can give me an idea for a good one. I don't like to play the "pay me now or pay me later" with them, Maybe Eastwood isint the way to go but they do come recommended for quality stuff, but like any company they have the cheap and the good, i did promise to help my brother in law and i will need them myself so i need to get a couple good ones. Thanks.

Blair all the way Ron...you won't look back. Both the skid proof and the spring loaded pilot work great (helps to use a punch with either). Buy their cutter lube or use a machine cutting oil/penetrating oil with them and you'll be drilling out spot welds like a champ. This is one tool you definitely do not want to go cheapest price shopping on (same for most tools for that matter). Makes a world of difference having a quality cutter vs. a Bargain City Sunday special.

Blair is the best like Will stated. I drilled out 1 or 2 welds on my Charger project and wont use anything else.

When you drill 10000000000000000 welds a year like me then the Blair Rotabroach is the only one. Just like Propwash says.

There's nothing quite like the best tool for the job. :grin:

I started using solid pilot bits years ago out of frustration with those old type fragile spot weld bits.

The blair looks very stout.

+1 for Blair. Works awesome, just make sure you get the premium rotabroach or better yet the little kit they sell. The cheaper double-ended ones don't last for $#!+ as youd probably expect lol

Use the on CDR used. It worked great on my Satellite. The Blair seemed to bounce around alot.

The blair spot weld bits are nice. I have used pilot bits just as well with a punch and heavy drill.

i to have used the blair spot weld cutter with great success.i have not yet used the rotabroach.
