Spiders in my shop

Spiders don't like fire much either....get yourself one of these;

LOL!! I've done that with brake wash before....but it does leave a mark :D

Every once in a while a barking spider terrorizes my wife in the bedroom

All jokes and shite aside, Spiders do not like, or can live in a low humidity environment. I think its about 25-35% humidity that makes the spiders go away. Also, there is this product called "bug juice" by this one paint company. I used it in my garage. You add it to the paint, and all the buggies suck it up in their legs. They die, so do the spiders, but it is supposed to be very safe to humans. It worked very well in my garage.

Camel spiders are nasty creatures we used to catch them and put a large black scorpion together in a tank, most of the time the spider won.

I HATE friggin spiders!!!! I've found a few large ones in my garage.

Not the best pic but, this thing was about the size of a golf ball, not including the legs. :spider:

My daughter is staying at my house for a while. The other day she was wearing a great tee-shirt...

Unfortunately she smokes. I won't let her smoke in the house - so she goes in the garage. She called me at work yesterday griping about how one of the little buggers came down from underneath the workbench while she was sitting there. I told her to put out a couple Raid Fumigators before she left for work.

Wow, lots of little spider corpses laying around this morning. I guess I'm getting my garage vacuumed today ha ha ha!

Finds some fresh crab apples and place the, throughout the shop. It should take care of your problem

I'll send my little helper

I'll send my little helper that hangs around my house . . . maybe he can help out ? ? ?

my wife and I have three dogs and 3 cats. I think she is crazy, having three cats. But who am i too say anything. I let the cats eat the spiders. If i am working on a car then I take my Oxy Torch and fry the bastards. Not the cats of course but the spiders.

I had a black widow infestation in my car when I bought it.

I bug bombed the car and garage. Then a former Terminex guy told me a pretty cool trick that has worked out for me.

Most spiders wont die from residual poison because some spiders dont clean themselves (black widows and brown recluses mainly)

Get a high citrus home cleaner. The acidity of the cleaner can eat through exoskeloton...for that reason most bugs wont cross it and stay way the hell away.

Its animal safe and human safe. Spray about once a month on everything you think a spider would cross and it hiding spots.

Its worked for me.

I use Demand CS. It is a commercial grade pesticide. I treat outside the shop and house. You can use it inside as well, in certain areas.

I literally have to sweep the Asian beetles off the deck on hot fall days. My have one or two make it in alive, but that's it.

Basically, if it crawls or flies...it dies. $140 a quart. Mix at 1 oz. per gallon. It's a bargain.

never heard of cats eating spiders .. mine must be lazy but seems like all my spiders hang out on the ceiling corners .. i leave be and don't have much trouble with flies and other flying insects

Yeah, our cats will eat spiders some times, too.
