Gears , what ya got?

I know that this is an old subject . I have read multiple threads about this subject dating back a bunch of years. Anyway, Its always good to get a fresh perspective .

What do you have ? What do you like ? What don't you like ? what do you suggest for various types of driving .

I recently found out that I have 3 23 gears. I thought for sure that I had dead highway gears.


My set up is ....71 charger , 323 gears, NON sure grip , 727 tran , 383 4bbl engine , 175-60-R15 tires, about 27 inches tall. All around driving .

traded my 3.91s for 3.55s. 27 " rear tire. Just an around town and highway cruiser.Still has some grunt off the line and nicer on the highway.

i am lucky i have a selection from 2.74 to 3.91. i had some 4.10's but i sold them kind of sorry i did as i am getting the bug to do some more racing this season.

Unlimited ! LOL!! Not your run of the mill rear but pritty cool ! Can swap a set of Spur gears in 15 min and go from a 2:73 to a 4:88.
