These can be really useful down here when the winter "slowbird" invasion is in full force and pretty much anytime really, like when you are behind some moron that keeps texting when the light has turned green and they just sit there!:angryfire:

That's what I'm talking about! Of course one should use it sparingly, not when it is likely to put your life in danger when honking at a bunch of lowlives!

I hooked up one in my sons old chevy truck used a air supply tank like one u use for your car a little air nozzle laid on his seat . you could get about 10 blasts out of it before the tank would run out ,

If that guy got shot it would have been funnier.

I've got a Dixie Horn. Can't wait to drive around with my flag on the roof. Freedom of speech baby! The train horn is kind of tired. Used to be great reactions. If I could figure out who threw a rock at my car I would press charges. Sorry a horn scare does not justify lethal force. Same if he got shot. You can't use lethal force 'cause you got scared.

There aren't any 160 dB train horns, but they sure are loud. Old ones could go to 135 but the FRA has limited them to 110 db a few years ago.

But sure, as long as you have compressed air at about 120 psi, and lots of it, it'll work for you. I do approve of the 'green light texting' application. :)

What's better is to get a surplus siren unit and disable all the functions except Radio, PA, and Warp. Radio lets you send a radio signal out to the speakers, and what's funner than blasting your tunes out at 100db? PA is obvios, but Warp is that "whoop" sound that emergency vehicle drivers make when they want to get your attention. It's not a siren, just that whoop sound and when you blast that lagger at the green light with that it really gets their attention.

And yes, I am installing an old Federal Signal PA40 box and speaker into my Road Runner when I get it back so I can blast Steelers songs out of it at tailgating events.

For the sole purpose of being obnoxious? I see where your priorities are. Lol
