Time (manhours) to pull and replace 440 engine

Funny, maybe it was because I moved here in late 96 that you left! LOL JK.... A stump puller, I like that, excellent. You don't see many 72's here either, Jeff from 521 has a 71 I think, and I have only seen it once, and that's as close as it gets out here too! That should be awesome she she is done.

Don't know it applies in your case but every now and then, we'd do a deal of labor-for-part swap. Either full, or partial. We keep what's coming out for part or all the labor. Just a thought.

After reading what you had posted, I'm convinced that what I am going to do is all of the light work, ie., pull radiator, battery, accessories, disconnect headers, wiring, fuel and hire the "Heavy Work". Can one assume that that would leave just a few hours work which would also limit the time that damage could be done to the body and especially paint? Would installing the motor take about the same amount of time?

BTW, what can I expect to sell a warmed over 440 complete less accessories? I understand that the 440 was used for a short time in a drag car then pulled and tamed with a cam intake and head change. They said it would still take racing fuel but I've knocked the timing down and very seldom do I hear the motor ping. I don't believe the cr is above 10-1, my bet it is less than that.
