sooooo sleek !!!

Black was not a factory option color available on the 'Bird...that was repainted that color...I believe it has been put back to original color, although I'm not sure which color it was.

Back in 1988, Carlisle auctioned off a black Bird, 440 pistol grip if I recall. I happened to have seen it at the corvette show, but I believe it was auctioned off all summer.

When I lived in the Portland area in mid to late eighties,a guy had a black one.Originally yellow I think. It was a 440 six barrel car.He was asking 14 g's for it.Cool car.

Yes. As a matter of fact when I was a young teenager in the early 70s, I lived in the Concord Court Apartments.
But since the same people owned The Lexington Apartments 3073 Washington Rd East Point Georgia. I used the pool there sometimes. It was just around the corner.
And there was a derelict black Superbird right by the pool. I don't know what engine was in it. But the story was that the apartment managers' son had been killed. It was his car and they wouldn't sell it. I know it was black. I doubt it had been repainted.

I guess you had to be there to appreciate that. But you can look at it on Google now. Who knew that 40 years later......

I was watching it the other day as well! There is a blue 67 in the paddle scene right after the game that I never noticed.

That's a slick bird though!!

I was there the day they gave it away. It was won by an older woman who had no idea what it was.

That's so ironic. I saw that car the summer before I started high school and dreamt about it for YEARS. In fact, freshman year I wrote a 'what I did over the summer' essay entirely about that car.
