Hey all....looking to get some ideas for some sort of garage/carport....don't have a surplus of money.....a 300 mile relocation, 2 mortgages, and 2 children see to that....any ideas??? Lets see some LOW BUDGET "shops"
THANKS!!

I am a dealer for "Tri States Carports" and their main office is in your area. They have a website, and dealers all over the country. I have several garages sold and they are great for the money. Their prices are with full assembly put up. and it is put up in just a few hours. Many sizes and colors available. Also other options. A 12 X 20 carport is priced at $595................................MO

Thanks....there are SOOOO many different dealers for carports and such down here I real want to see/hear some real world reviews...I know that if I start with a car port I will eventually close it in, so I want to start with a siz I will want to keep in the long run.

Around 2006, I put up a Carolina Carport brand srtucture.

It was $5000 for a 26' deep by 30' wide by 8' high structure with sides and gable ends.

That included a 140 MPH wind rated "vertical" roof, and 140 MPH upright spacing.

My only regret was not grading for a slab, as that has come back to haunt me.

Had I included a slab at construction time, it would have added 10-12 thousand dollars I wasn't comfortable financing, but I should have at least paid for the fill and grade, knowing what I know now.

Had I paid to have the ends enclosed and roll doors installed, It would have been another 8,000.

Instead, I ordered matching 10' sections of sheet metal from Lowes, and set my own 4x4 wood posts for $450, and ordered 10' wide roll up doors (one with an opener) for $1000 each and installed them myself. I also bought a metal clad "mobile home" man door at a local scrap yard for $10 and installed that.

At 8 plus years, it's starting to show a bit of age, but still holding strong. IIRC the guarantee was 20 years.

At the time, it was what I needed for a price I could afford. It got my cars and a lot of parts and tools out of the weather, and allowed me to stop paying a storage facility.

A couple years later, my brother put up a 20x40x9 structure from a different vendor.
It was $28,000, but has a nice slab floor resting on pilings poured into cored holes.
