Here are the results and point standings following completion of the Winternationals - the opening NHRA event of the 2015 season.
Just like last year, big names going down early had a major impact on the point totals this week.

Congratulations to 'bobtile' (FBBO) for being "Top Picker Eliminator" for the Circle K Winternationals, the first event of 2014, with an outstanding point total of 113.5 points with a class win in Funny Car. His Top Fuel pick went to the final but lost there, and his Pro Stock pick went two rounds of eliminations. He was helped by event bonus points for both event ET and speed in Pro Stock. Oh, by the way, 'bobtile' led the points after the Winternationals last year as well. Way to go!
'OldmanRick' (FABO) was right behind with 108.5 points with a class win in Pro Stock. He had the same Top Fuel pick as 'bobtile', and his Funny Car pick won one round of eliminations but picked up the ET and speed bonus points.


Here's where the bonus points were earned if you picked the right drivers:

E.T. - Shawn Langdon, 3.700 during qualifying
Speed - Spencer Massey, 332.18 during qualifying

Funny Car
E.T. - Courtney Force, 3.995 during qualifying

The 2nd race of the 2015 season, the 31st Annual CARQUEST Auto Parts NHRA Nationals, is February 20-22, at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in Chandler, AZ.
As always, your picks need to be posted before Pro Qualifying starts on Friday, February 20 in order to qualify for all event bonus points. Pro qualifying is scheduled to start at 3:30PM EST (12:30 PM PST).
The CARQUEST Auto Parts Nationals entry list is posted on NHRA.com and currently shows 16 Top Fuel, 15 Funny Car, and 17 Pro Stock entries, but the counts are subject to change. Keep checking http://www.nhra.com/events/entrylist02.aspx for an updated entry list.
Pro Stock Motorcycle will not run until the 3rd race of the 2015 season at Gainesville, Fl.
