No Jeggy in Pro Stock this year, Budnicks. His wife just had a baby so Jegs on 'diaper duty'.
He said last year he was going to concentrate on family and the family business in 2015. We can only hope he comes back out in the future.
Thanks

yeah it's tough here too, it was 70* today in the NorCal Central/Eastern Sierra Foothills
it's though, but I can cope...LOL

I just read on Dragzine.com Drag-newsletter
that ESPN3 web coverage will no longer be airing "live" Friday Qualifying coverage this year,
like it has for the past 2 years

less coverage even now, that just pisses me off,
NASCAR can be seen all damn day, every damn race, every damn minute
{not that that's a bad thing}
but cut what little coverage we get for NHRA, just infuriates the hell out of me,
it's dying a slow & painful death on TV, now the web coverage too...

supposedly there's going to be over 100hrs of "live" coverage this year thou on ESPN2

But they only need about half of that to cover it. More doesn't equal better with the coverage in recent years. It's hard to watch on TV unless you record it and FF through it (which is what I do). They just beat stuff to death and seldom come up with anything fresh to put on the broadcasts. Mostly, they seem to be just filling time. I think the sport is in real trouble and being mismanaged. The lack of major sponsors and all of the big ones that have been pulling out is a red flag, and the outlook is bleak.

So, call me late to the party...
But I was surprised to see Force Racing is now running the C-A-M-A-R-O ??

-So, yeah, I knew castrol dropped out.

-I had heard that Ford was going back to "Grass-Roots" racing..

But still, it is a BIG Change in NHRA..huh?

Oh well, so much for my lame predictions...

Congrats to Budnicks (FBBO) for winning the opening NHRA National Event Top Qualifier title of the 2015 NHRA season at the Winternationals with an outstanding total of 23.0 bonus points. This is the very same point total Budnicks had after winning the 2014 Winternationals Top Qualifier title! Hey Budnicks, where do you hide that crystal ball during the off-season?
Budnicks picks qualified #1 in Funny Car and Pro Stock and #3 in Top Fuel - again exactly as he did for the 2014 Winternationals! This is spooky. Way to go!
OldmanRick (FABO) was in the #2 qualifier spot with 18.5 bonus points. More great picks!
Good luck all in eliminations tomorrow!

We have 20 players starting off the 2014 NHRA "Pick 'Em game season and 19 different driver combos made up of:
* 7 different Top Fuel drivers with one Round 1 head-to-head matchup between #6 qualifier Tony Schumacher (5 picks) and #11 qualifier Antron Brown (6 picks). One-fourth or more of our game players are not going to be happy after the first round of Top Fuel. There could also be two additional head-to-head matchups in the 2nd round of eliminations if they all survive the opening round.
* 7 different Funny Car drivers and, again, one Round 1 head-to-head matchup between #6 qualifier Ron Capps (1 pick) and Alexis DeJoria (1 pick). There are also 2 potential head-to-head matchups in Round 2 of eliminations.
* 6 different Pro Stock drivers picked this week with one Round 1 head-to-head matchup between #7 qualifier Greg Anderson (4 picks) and #10 qualifier Shane Grey (3 picks). Also a possibility of two head-to-head matchups in the 2nd round of eliminations.

Good luck all!

Hopefully Hagan can get down the track without another fire .....and whoever said Erica Enders was Miss Piggy ....couldn't agree more

Chit house luck...LOL, I'd like to think it's knowledge,
but it's probably a little off season testing that I read about...
P/S Erica Enders-Stephens was a total crap shoot,
she couldn't even get down the track the 1st 2 runs,
"allegedly" because of the new mandated Good Year tires & heavier Sunoco fuel issues,
getting the tune & se t up spot on...
3rd round she left at a relatively low RPM for a P/S & made that #1 pole pass, weird to say the least !!

thanks guys/gals

Nice job, Bud!

I ended up 2 for 3. I hope that's a good omen for me to have a better year than last year's debacle - which won't take much to improve on!

well qualifying sure the hell isn't racing...LOL

T/F Langdon won
{unfortunately didn't back up the 3.70 record}

F/C John Force
went out 1st round loss to Bode, that figures...LOL

P/S Erica Enders-Stevens
lost to her "hired assassin rookie team mate" in the semis,
I was laughing/clapping, then thought "damn I picked her"...

F/C Hagan won over Capps
{I really hope Ron Capps wins a championship soon, I like the dude}

P/S Jason Line
took out the rookie {but the rookie great showing for his 1st race}
