My '69 Super Bee project

Hey Sheldon, I got 90% of the welding then it'll be time to strip the rr. I've been busy doing a piece of salvage (2013 RAV4). I'm going to the west coast the week end sledding , then I'll get back at it. I think I'm going to order a set of those seat belts as well.

Big mistake on my part, with the paint. I'm going to have to strip it!

don't feel like the lone ranger man. at some point everyone who does enough of this stuff, has some sort of deal like this. its obvious that you can handle it. I bet you don't run out of basemaker again on paint day. (i've been there). get us some update pics as soon as possible. this car is gonna be sharp.

Thanks for the boost, yes there are lots of ups and downs! I'll get some pics and updates up soon. I sanded the jambs that much the tops of my fingers and nails are gone! I had blood running out of the tops, and they're very sore now. No pain no gain...I guess.lol. I haven't done much painting in the last 10 years...been told it takes longer for the stuff to dry these days.

You guessed it....sanding! IMG-20150407-00656.jpg

I think you and I had the same misfortunes in the same exact area Errrh, it sucks for sure. Just gotta keep putting your nose to the stone! For me this was my first real muscle car and my first real Mopar so it wasn't to hard to keep motivated haha. Enjoy

looks like you about got it.

I hope so,not much fun sanding the jambs over and over....

It's always sumpthin' but that's what makes this fun. :blob1::blob1:

Very true, when i sprayed the white on the inside of the doors it turned out really nice. I said the next thing I paint will be a disaster....here we are! lol

Great looking project Sheldon, nice work!

Thanks Matt, appreciate that. I haven't seen any updates on the Challenger, are you still planning on getting it back together? Love the turquoise on the '68's,can't wait to see the Roadrunner painted!

Starting to put on some parts, pretty exciting! Installing the master cylinder, none of the holes on the plate lined up,must be one from a booster? I even pulled the cover on my Charger to take a look, and yes they are different. So I decided to line up the rod the best I could and drill some holes. It went well. I slimed the K frame many years ago to prevent over spray from getting on it,I tried to wash it off but it doesn't look too good now. I'll give it a quick touch up!
