Tired Warrior - 68 GTX Restoration

Cool story! And I like that color with the white stripes. Good luck with your bucket list!

A friend of mine had his GTX restored a couple years ago that he's had since the car was almost new. It sure turned out great and I can't wait to see yours turn out just as great as his did.

Just took some And will post shortly. Thx for moving this forward Dennis I'm really conflicted.

How have I been missing this thread? Sheesh.
I love seeing all the other '68 GTX owners representing. :hello2:
GetX'd knows mine and has graciously offered advice on it more than once.
We had it out to the local cruise-in last evening (lousy streetlamp ;-( ):

No snowmobiles out here in Laguna Beach. But we do have a lot, lot, lot of snow bunnies that have left the artic and moved to the south land for better weather. Hopefully the now "Rejuvenated Warrior" will attract some attention..... Perfect or not!

Drive it like you like them, that's a nice GTX, dont worry to much about the stock look most enthusiasts have never seen a real one. Enjoy it, enough time has been lost with life getting in the way. Let others enjoy the car also, and enjoy it yourself.

68 gtx..

Beautiful car and great story, I Applaud you for keeping the car all these years! Now just enjoy it, you could fix the little things as time goes on. Life just flies by the older we get!!!

I admire you for being able to keep it for sooooo long. Great story and great car.. My poor 1st mopar/car had a short life and was crushed I'm sure.

More pictures?
Call me stupid but I can't figure out how to add pics to this thread from my cell phone. Driving me crazy. If they were on the computer or iPad I get it. I've even got the pics to join the other pics on the screen - but they won't upload to the thread. I guess I need some help either with pic loading or from a shrink!

Can you send them to an email address? If you don't have one, you can send them to mine. FBBO has tapatalk now.

I don't know how to use tapatalk either. I'm technologically challenged. I can, however send the photos to an email address if you want to pm yours to me - that would be nice.

I had been. Meaning to post updated pics of the "Tired Warrior" after she's been refreshed. They've been a long time coming for that I apologize. Still missing a couple of key cosmetic items that have been secured. The vendor for the rocker moldings sent me the wrong ones so I'm waiting for the replacements. I don't have the white stripes on yet - but have them ready to go on. Just waiting a little to Make sure the paint is well set.

Im also not the most technologically advanced guy - so when Car Nut offered to post my pics for me I jumped at it. The car is still in Minnesota and will be shipped out to CA in the spring. I've got several major house issues to deal with this winter and I have a heated garage to store the X at in MN. Then I want to take her to Mopars in the Park show in Late May in Farmington, MN before bringing her to CA to finally live with me after all these years.

She's 99% there after a few long years. My old friend is ready for the road again after a great mechanical and cosmetic restoration. I appreciate all the advice along the way from FBBO brothers. There will surely more that will be needed.

Bump.

That's awesome that you've kept the old girl all these years, I'll never be able to say that. Never had a Mopar but always wanted ine so all of my past cars were done away with in hopes to finally score the right one.

Love the GTX, great to see it back in it's former glory.
