I am curious as to what other members use in their Hemi cars for fuel. The Hemi will run fine on Premium unleaded pump fuel because the compression is below 11:1. I personally run either 100LL Av gas or Cam II 110 race fuel. Both are quite expensive, but I am concerned about the Ethanol in pump gas. Ethanol absorbs moisture and destroys rubber seal and hoses.Other opinions are welcome. Thanks

Why not just get some of the Lucas Ethanol treatment for the pump gas?

I had a problem with carburetor corrosion using E85. Using E10 the only problem was when switching over from unleaded on an older car to E10, it would clean out the rust in the tank and fuel lines and plug the fuel filter. After one (mostly) or two (once) fuel filter changes, never another problem. If you have a new system it shouldn't cause any problems. I've been running cars with rubber in the system ever since the pump ethanol hit the market and had no seal or hose problems.

I use Sunoco 94. It has up to 10% ethanol and I've never had issues. I do sometimes mix with AV gas and again no problems.

Where do live that Sunoco 94 is available? Outside of Philly there is up to 93 only. For as little as the car is used 10% Ethanol probably wpuld never cause a problem, but I feel better not putting it in at all. The 100LL AvGas is about $6.50 per gallon and Sunoco Cam II Race Fuel (110 with lead) is $10.00 per gallpn. Definitely an expensive joy ride!

Hi, I use a product BND it's out of Ohio---1oz treats 6 gal---it is also a treatment for the carb and storage---I have used it for several years so I know it works in my 69 Hemi RR we only get 91 fuel here---and when I "pounce" on it it runs great---Geo

I'm in CA and I run 91 octane
Hansen heads, dual Eddies 500s but I should put the 2 Holleys (short bowls) back on

I run VP 110 in the SC/Rambler
