Does anyone know the full length of the one for a 1973 440 4 bbl with a 727 automatic trans? Also does anyone have a picture of the way it needs to be correctly set up?
Got a service manual?
There's drawings of the various hook-ups in there.
No.
But, shouldn't matter. Main thing your looking at, for ANY linkage set-up, using any carb, is clearance. All the length of the stud (not sure which end your asking about), is...if the actual threaded 'stud' end, that takes a nut...if it has clearance to the main body. Needs to move the full sweep.
If the linkage end, and where the springs also go, there's clearance for no binding.
I was wondering about the length of the whole stud as I want to make sure that I got one for a big block and not a small block and one for a 4bbl and not a 2bbl. Just want to make sure I have the right part. I gave the Chrysler part number and the guy wanted a picture not part number.
Local carburetor shopWho did you give the P/N to?
That spring looks like it has seen better days, just saying
