Sonny, not sure how much difference there is between the 413 & 426. My recollection is that the 413 had no problem going up to the 426 bore , not sure though. My 426W ran pretty good, close to the 440 I built to replace it. Of course my 426W was .030 over. You might get something out of a better ignition. I was never fond of the orange box, especially if you run above about 5800 RPM.

My 413 has been bored out to 426 bore with room to spare. Hope to have it back and assembled by next summer.

Thunder!! , wouldn't i need a pretty steep gear to run those heads?....just to pull away from a stop? / 413/426 Max Wedge - heads? /208 intake / 1.88 exhaust ? are they pocket ported?...Just Askin'....

Okay Okay, a minor technicality! I thought you wanted to cross a Max Wedge off your Bucket list! I could always offer the heads to Sheldon Gecker, for when he builds his King Kong Tribute R/T! LOL

Sonny, if you are even thinking about Max Wedge heads remember the block needs to be modified. Ported 906 or 915's will give about the same power. A Stage III head is cool though.

Sonny would like to know 2 things....#1, I would like to try an Edelbrock Performer RPM & 750 Holly , DP 906heads.....Question...will my stock hood close? (clearance?)...
#2, is this combination... feasible ?......
I need to go faster,lol...I have enough trophies I can put the stock stuff on the shelf. (I am all up in the air)



#3 should i leave things alone?..runs ok not too fast prob.,14sec...drears
