We are proud to be a Sponsor of For B Bodies Only. I'm sure many of you are asking 'Who the heck is Cold Case?' I thought I'd post a little FAQ here that I think will answer most of your questions:

Q- Is Cold Case a new company?

A- While the Cold Case brand is only a couple of years old, Cold Case is a product line of Max Performance Inc. which has been in business as a specialty American car and truck parts supplier for the past 30 years and was started by the same people who brought you Pypes Performance Exhaust.

Q- there's a lot of debate over Copper/Brass or Aluminum.

A- And there probably always will be. If you are doing a concours correct numbers matching vehicle, you simply need an original copper/brass OEM radiator. However, Aluminum, although much lighter, is incredibly strong when no epoxy is used. It dissipates heat faster. It looks nicer. Aluminum pricing is down and copper pricing is up. It's a change for the better for most of you! As you read further, you'll see we've answered any other negatives with regard to aluminum.

Q- The market is full of Radiator Companies. Why yet another?!

A- Yes, agreed. We fully admit there is no shortage of expensive high quality radiators and there is no shortage of no-name aluminum radiators on all over Ebay and Amazon but we feel there is a big need for a high quality brand you can trust at a price that is not all that far off of the cheap no-name brands.

Q- Do you have radiators for everything? Do you do custom work?

A- At this time, we don't do custom work. We only make radiators that we have identified as at least somewhat popular. Everything we have is made in a production environment in reasonable quantities. This allows us to keep our prices down,

Q- So what makes Cold Case better than the high end brands

A- We're not claiming to be better than these brands. In fact, one of the disadvantages of Cold Case is that we don't do custom work and we don't do specialty high horsepower vehicles at this time. However, our construction quality, design elements, tig welding and materials all rival the big guys. One thing we can claim that beats some of the expensive box welded tank lines is that our radiators are designed to fit in the factory position with factory hardware, shrouds and brackets in most cases. We can claim this because both our top and bottom tanks are stamped to look and fit like originals.

Q- What makes Cold Case better than the all the no name brands?

A-
1. We have stamped tanks for an OEM look and application correct fitment
2. Rather than using 2,3 or 4 small tubes in our cores, All our radiators are built with BB capacity utilizing 2 oversize rows that cool 20,30 or even 40% better than 4, 3 or 2 row cores the no name brands use.
3. All our tanks are fully polished
4. We use OEM petcock valves
5. Our filler necks are welded from the inside instead of the outside.
6. Our filler necks allow you to use an OEM radiator cap if you choose.
7. Because we use OEM style tanks, ours can mount using all the factory brackets, fan shrouds and hardware.
8. We offer a Lifetime Warranty and a 60 day cool guarantee.
9. Our tech staff is always available by phone or e-mail to answer your questions
10. Although the brand is new, our parent company has been around for 30 years. You can trust we'll be around in the future.

Q- How can you offer such a high quality product at such a reasonable price?

A- 1. We use stamped tanks which require less welding to produce
2. Our line isn't quite as expansive as others but each model we make is
made in higher production volume to reduce costs.
3. We're the new kid on the block. We have to get your attention
somehow. Maybe if we get rich and famous, we'll raise our prices
too!

Cold Case Aluminum Radiators

Please list which Mopar cars/engines you have available and some example pictures. I like the idea of factory-looking stamped tanks. And, are they American made?

We only make radiators that we have identified as at least somewhat popular.
Oh great, yet another company that has **** for Chevy's and Fords and nothing for a "C" body Mopar. That's really Pathetic!

Please see this response in the C body forums from our Company President (username: Ccas):
Cold Case is here to help

"Guys, If you can hang in there for a while, we think we can help some of you C-body owners.
Here's where we are at;
1. We're just finishing up all our research on the B & E bodies and are 1/2 way through the A-bodies. Mopars are quite complicated compared to GM and Ford, so it takes a lot more research. By participating in this community, I think that process can be expedited. That is of course unless things get hostile over here! ;)
2. The admin's sponsor package included this Forum for no extra charge. We didn't see a reason to turn that down and at least start some dialogue on what is popular in the way of C-Body. The squeaky wheel DOES get the oil! :)
3. Because you will be helping us, we'll make sure we come up with some really good group buys once we settle in."

I see you don't service a 67' GTX. Or am I wrong ?

You shouldn't need to E-mail somebody to get a price.
The one thing that everybody on this forum is aware of is that Mopars aren't cheap.
Listing the price will help us out who are simply looking and taking things into consideration.

If you supply us some dimensions we may have this application.
You should already have that.
When I search for parts. I search for my vehicle, don't have time to find the measurements of a radiator that I don't have. That's what you're for.

Don't get me wrong, these criticisms are meant to be constructive.

When I bought a radiator for my Bee. I bought one that was said to fit a 70 Coronet Big Block w air conditioning.
Paid handsomely for it, but they already knew what I needed therefor got my business

Sounds like you need to step up your game Coldcase.
Either we're to hard on him and blew us off, or he realized the error of his ways and is quietly trying to fix it? He's probably just sticking to what I said in post #4.

What is the smallest radiator You have, heighth & width?

Prices seem pretty reasonable for my application anyway - paid a good bit more than that to have my original triple cored.

We're still here! I just thought I'd resurrect this to take more sponsor abuse! ;)

Seriously, I'm not sure who screwed you guys so bad prior to our arrival but we have spent a lot of time on the A and C body Mopar forums and we're slowly but surely sweating all the details so installation is not an issue.

I find it interesting that everyone on this forum loves ECP so much but one of the members had to install and reinstall his ECP 60 times before it fit. I don't see anyone trashing ECP. And really Frank at ECP has a decent product. It's not as good as ours but it's very respectable. But quite frankly, he doesn't have the resources to fine tune his product with all the variations that exist with classic Mopar.

I'm not trying to be a smart ***. It may make you feel good to kick us to the curb because you have an allegiance to another brand but if you take the high road, you help your community to have additional, better value, higher quality and possibly better applications than what is currently available.
Come see us at one of the shows we will be doing in 2018 and I think you'll have a very different perspective.

I'm the guy that wasn't happy with the ECP fitment. I bought the ECP on advice from forum members, a conversation with Frank concerning shroud fitment, and research from around the web.

Hindsight is 20 20 and I think I would purchase your product, or a Griffin if I had to do over. My recommendation is advertising plug and play fitment and support for the factory shroud. You would have sold me immediately.

Bill, No worries at all. There's a million choices out there. It's very confusing. I just used your experience as an example that the products offered to Mopar enthusiasts can be better. I'm not confident our fitment is any better on some of these models. That's why we're here to try and make that happen. But it has to be a team effort and it won't happen overnight. I don't care what brand you pick, these radiators are not going to be right without the help of the Mopar community. and I don't see a lot of aluminum radiator companies stepping up. So why can't it be us? :)

Ad far as a 26” with fans and wiring ECP has ya beat by a couple hundred bucks, also made in USA. Why is yours superior? I’m in the market and will be at the Indy show with cash if ya can persuade me.
