Dodge Demon

All us divorced guys will buy a big warehouse for cars and live in tiny houses. That's my goal.

Funny you should mention that because my brother in law (another divorcee) brought up the tiny house subject today. Fine with me so long as the shop is 5000 sq ft or better lol. Actually, my plan was always to have about 20 acres with a big shop and have living quarters inside....

Oh good grief....now Vin Diesel is part of the brotherhood and an official Ambassador to Dodge:rolleyes:

Factory production street legal car that can pull the front wheels off the ground... that's f&$king insane.

9.65 sec quarter mile....banned by NHRA for being too damn fast. Sounds awfully familiar......

View attachment 388630 that one car with the blue oval that they circled the problem with better move over cause the 2018 DODGE DEMON is coming with 800+ HP. With a wide body kit to hold the massive 315 tires. Rumor of AWD but dodge had no awd that can handle that much hp an torque, maybe they do. But I guess they unvieled it at the New York auto show. MOPAR PERFORMANCE!!!!!

9.6 1/4 mile WOW !!holly smokes

Kids are adults now with the ages ranging from 41 to 29. Main problem is that I'm in my mid 60's and it sucks thinking that I might be by myself in my later years. But on the other hand....it might not be so bad.
Ive no regrets over being single.

According to FCA , only 3,000 Demons are scheduled to be built for the 2018 model year. However, that was the same plan w/ the hellcat (5,000 or so) until the hellcat sold faster than ice cream on a hot summer day. If the Demons sell out fast enough, I can almost guarantee that FCA will not hesitate to build many more.

I'm hoping that because of the Demon, hellcat values will drop, and maybe I'll be able to afford one in 10 years.

The 'banned' thing is marketing BS. NHRA is more than likely saying it doesn't have the right safety equipment for the ET. Put a cage in it and they would have no problem.

Finally, it's actually getting some tires!!! That's the one thing I hate about the Challenger.... skinny tires.
So who is the OEM on the rear tires? They got to be some sticky ones !!.............................MO

Probably Nitto. I read a couple of things today. Not sure if it posted in any of the other 6 threads...

- all 4 tires are the same size drag radial. The 'skinnies' are sent with the crate. Theory is you have two sets of rear tires at the track.
- crate is not included. Crate has tools, skinnies, and module to get the HP and program for 100 octane race gas. My understanding is the car will not make 800+ hp or go 9's without the crate purchase.
- passenger seat and rear seat are not included but rather options. Cost $1 each.

Oh, and back to the 'banned' thing again... so, I buy the car and the crate - now what? I won't be able to run at any sanctioned tracks. Stupid. Why no cage, they went this far.
