Dodge Demon

The tires Nittos specially made for the demon...This car is an absolute engineering milestone if you listen to all it can do. The coolest American car since the srt8 in 08....I haven't been so excited in my life about a car I will never own. I smile every time I see a picture of it.

Can you imagine trying to restore this thing 40 years from now? All the systems and drag gadgets.

40 years?? Phat chance of anything being left to restore. Might be fast, but its still throw away construction like all contemporary cars.

Probably Nitto. I read a couple of things today. Not sure if it posted in any of the other 6 threads...

- all 4 tires are the same size drag radial. The 'skinnies' are sent with the crate. Theory is you have two sets of rear tires at the track.
- crate is not included. Crate has tools, skinnies, and module to get the HP and program for 100 octane race gas. My understanding is the car will not make 800+ hp or go 9's without the crate purchase.
- passenger seat and rear seat are not included but rather options. Cost $1 each.

Oh, and back to the 'banned' thing again... so, I buy the car and the crate - now what? I won't be able to run at any sanctioned tracks. Stupid. Why no cage, they went this far.
From what I can gather this is pre-production and the "cage" will be integrated into the chassis. There's no way Dodge would go this far without knowing what was necessary to make it sanctioning legal.

Official pricing for the demon, front and rear passenger seats are 1 dollar options along with the tool crate

I'd rather have 85K to build a 68 Coronet,,,,with real steel wheel houses & real glass headlights & a 1000+ less lbs. But that's just me

When I bought my hellcat it was a big change from my 09 srt8 challenger.
It was a 10k change that I liked and am happy with.
This Demon is another 20k cost for another 150hp. I have yet to enjoy all my hellcat has going for it and have reached my limit for paying for bragging rights.
It's a pretty cool car but I'm out for getting one.

Ya I'm not getting one but I think it's reasonably priced for what it is. Me personally I'm building a 505" stroker for the coronet right now and next winter I'm pulling the 6.1 out of my 2006 srt and building a 426 stroker, I don't want a car payment

Same rape as when the Ford GT came out....MSRP was 150K & the investors grabbed em up & marked them up 200 - 300%. I suspect the Demon will be built in higher numbers.

I think they're building 3000 demons, some of which will go to Canada

If they're lucky. With the Hellcat, they couldn't build as many as they could sell for the first year.
