greasy wax?

I've been happy with Meguiar's NXT.
I also use Meguiars NXT tech wax 2.0. I use a bunch of towels when I remove it, constantly turning the towels and once its all removed I go over the car with one clean towel for a final wipe down, no greasy residue. I use one towel per quarter of car usually because they get full of dry wax. I find it works best when its around 80 and low humidity, but that is true with other waxes I have used.

I recently did my car with a wash, Mothers Step #1, step #2 & finished off with 2 coats of this (Liquid) Loved it.

I'll be Captain Obvious, and ask. Did you shake the bottle before using? Some settling of contents may have occurred.

This stuff WORKS! Comes in liquid or paste form. As with most compounds, sealants, waxes, stay off of black trim & any satin black finished plastcs. Effortless to use, just wipe on with damp sponge & gently buff off with NEW microfibres, constantly turning towels & once around whole car, use NEW microfibre alone to gently give a final wiping. In 37 years of use i have never had a problem arise from using this product. EVER! It gives very decent results effortlessly & economically. Just keep it off the satin finshes & off vinyls.

If I ever go back to the other side of bucket washing and waxing this is the product I would use. When my Dad's Catalina convertible was painted in the 1980s the body shop gave him a bottle of NuFinish liquid wax, and I agree it is great. The body shop claimed it was the most acid rain resistant wax on the market (maybe true?). Used it on my Duster throughout the 1980s and on my 1990 LeBaron convertible until I discovered DriWash.

Quick tip: if you do get NuFinish on any flats, or vinyl, just soak it with NuVinyl and scrub it with a microfiber until dry.

Noted,,Thanks!
Nu-Finish truly is a reasonably priced, Honest product introduced long ago, say as opposed to the performance of another product introduced long ago that is Dishonest in its long term result,,,,,Armor All rubber & vinyl dressing.....a very damaging product in the long run.
Nu-Finish imo is best described as a sealant, because the polymers chemically bond to surface & are resistant to washing out with soap & water. Wax just kind of sits on surface & fills & does wash out with soap & water.
There are other products with a bit more refined polymer technology that will marginally outperform Nu-Finish & they are more than marginally more expensive.

Some of the products reported here, is polish...there is a difference. As this thread was started, I had a "smearing" problem with Mequires yellow liquid wax. It seemed to not dry properly, and left a greasy look.
My painter saw my car and said it needed buffed again . I got it today , and also picked up some "Mothers" cleaner-carnuba wax which worked real well. I tried it in a side by side comparison with the Mequires I had. I couldn't tell the difference except that Mothers was a lot less price. Both hazed up as they should , and toweled off easily.
What was my problem?? Beats me unless the compound buffing or the humidity was what made the difference. Yes, the products were well shaken-mixed.....................MO

I've never been a fan of wax.
