Good parents always put their kids happiness first, I'd say you've got good parents and are a fine child. Enjoy the hell out of it.Well I just got home I drove the hell out of it it runs ok the carb is having issues ,car is pinging on hard throttle and there's seems to be a vacuum leak under it so I have a rebuild kit and some gaskets to see if that's the whole problem or just part . But overall I say a little love and she's good to go.
As for the gift part this isn't normal behavior out of my mother I think since I keep getting the sh@@y end of the stick lately she wanted me to have something that makes me happy again since I sold most to stay afloat
The hell cat was a blast but I still prefer the old cars there more fun the hell cat practically drive's itself
Good Luck on Your surgery Man!Ah the caddy something just didn't sit right with me about that car it had quite a bit of problems and the biggest was a terrible vibe why it idled I liked it it was a sweet car but between me being sceptical about the motors integrity I lost the guys number and just let it go. I found a sweet 61 Chrysler Newport in tampa but decided against it too as the motor condition was unknown. And the trans was out . I have a project I don't want another . The little things are fine but major work I can't do till I get fixed in one month by the way sep 21 is my surgery
Yeah, even though i gripe about the materials in contemporary cars, too much plastic, & the curb weights,,,engine, suspension & brake technology have soared exponentially. You got that right. When I punch the gas and try to shift at high rpm in the coronet my hands and feet are full and the lane is narrow at 90mph. In the hellcat, this all happens with ease and comfort even at 130+mph. Same stuff--different speed.
I'm starting to bounce back,,,so will You!Thanks guys surgery is a big deal in my life and it's the make or brake point I have the best surgeon in fl. So I am confident I'll be back up and going strong again! Back to building cars and scarying old lady's and children with them!
I'm glad I found this site I don't have many friends and not much family ether you guys are basically it! God help me ! I'm glad I have you guys to talk to though
Yep that one. Add the black decal to the hood too!!View attachment 501145 View attachment 501146 View attachment 501147 kinda like this hood! I'm thinking about robbing the rallye for a few parts then keep a look out for them, for when I finish building this one!

I love straightening out roads. I've had some capable cars. My 3 bone stock 318 B bods with a decent footprint & some nose dive were among the best handling i've thrown around, yet very forgiving. The drum brakes were the drawback. The 68 post was Coronet the best of the 3. I yearn for the day to get another 68 Coronet, actually a four door & really set it up with an aluminum small block & IRS. I'd keep the torsion bar front, just stiffer bars & hang tubular control arms, preferably heim located. & some big Wilwoods. But i'm a long way from it because i have the chop bug & a Dodge/Fireball class C to get done 1st. Be lucky to get those motated before i die.Yeah the newer cars are very sophisticated (tame) the old ones are basically hang on or die !
