Yesterday was -37C in Ottawa. Coldest capital in the world...why do I live here again???

Wind chill doesn't count. We were -39 without wind chill, -49 with it.

This is very cold water that just got reminded that it's supposed to be ice.

One of the neatest things to do when it's cold: (real cold, like in Canada)
You take a bowl of Ramen noodles, we call them Ichiban here in Canada. You take them outside with a fork and place it on your patio table. Take a healthy fork full of noodles and lift them up about 6 inches and hold them steady. In about 2 minutes the noodles, in particular the ones hanging off the fork, will freeze solid suspending the fork full of noodles in mid air. Sounds dorky but it looks way cool. Like a ghost is eating soup on your patio.
