If its the cylinders that are rusty due to stuck rings, I wonder what evapo rust would do if poured in the cylinders?

You went through all that work to get that engine out of that RV for a locked up engine? Hope it breaks loose for you without any issues.

Why not just tear the engine down and hammer the pistons out?

i freed up a ford 302 by poring Evap O Rust on the cylinders.

i let it set over night, and was rolling it over in the morning

is evap o rust acid?

Evapo-Rust® rust remover is safe on skin and all materials except rust! It's also biodegradable and earth-friendly. Water soluble and pH-neutral, Evapo-Rust® is non-toxic, non-corrosive, non-flammable, and contains no acids, bases, or solvents. Evapo-Rust® is simply the safest rust remover

The stuff is pure witchcraft, it's amazing.

After evapo-rust sits if its not loose pick a cylinder that's almost halfway down the bore. 4x4 piece of wood in cylinder hammer time, size as large as necessary .

I've heard orange juice mixed with #1 diesel.
Never tried it though.
What about PB Blaster?

It's already a core. Put it on the stand, pull the heads and strip it, beat the pistons out of it, and appraise whats left. Otherwise you're just wasting money and time to spend on a complete re build anyway.

Mixture of PB Blaster, ATF, and Marvel Mystery and my stuck 383 was free'd up. Poured it in the cylinders 4 at a time on an engine stand so the motor could be set up parallel with the ground to fill all the cylinders. This motor was STUCK too!!! Worked good. Took a 2x4 and tapped the pistons out one by one. Block ended up being cracked, but i did not know this until all the pistons were free. Good experiment if anything else.

I had a similar situation and tried sea foam and MMO and that didn't do the job. I ended using a very dull bit on an air chisel on the top of the pistons (Pistons were scrap anyways) and the vibrations loosened it up. I don't know if it was pure luck or co-incidence but it worked. Not to hijack this thread but somewhere along the same lines and to also help out , what would y'all recommend for stuck rings? I tried MMO and Sea foam in the cylinders and that didn't for. I did see a lot of mention of ATF and acetone like liquid wrench. Or should I just go put ATF acetone and whatever other voodoo you would recommend individually. Thanks very much

I have used white vinegar with good results getting rust removed. It dissolves the rust. I was shocked the first time I used it.
