Thanks! it will be cleaner once the wiring is done and the carpet goes in. Long way to go yet. Now, if I could just figure out how to get those Audi rings off of the steering wheel air bag cover.....Wow that is really clean
I would take the airbag cover to a upholstery shop and just have them wrap it just a thoughtThanks! it will be cleaner once the wiring is done and the carpet goes in. Long way to go yet. Now, if I could just figure out how to get those Audi rings off of the steering wheel air bag cover.....
Ya that would be a pain what about making a aluminum dished cap for the center paint it or polish it im sure you already have a thousand ideas lolThanks. I have removed the assembly from the wheel but the cover is fastened with aluminum rivets. I would just recover it myself if I had a way to fasten the cover back on to the whole assembly.View attachment 582753 View attachment 582754 View attachment 582755
That would look very coolHa! I had not thought of that one. I did contemplate using filler to fill in the rings and feather it out over the cap and paint it with flexible vinyl paint. I kinda want to place a 2017 Durango Dodge air bag cover emblem there.
Sorry! I took a tape measure out to several salvage yards and had the measurement of the Coronet dash area in hand. I must have looked at 400 cars before I found one that was the right size and that I liked. It worked out perfectly. The only minor issues will be that the bucket seats will mount to the floors about 4 inches rearward from stock because the Audi dash is deep and the mesh together of the Audi wiring harness and brain to the rest of the harnesses .I was just out out the wrecking yard looking at Chrysler 300 gauge clusters now you got me thinking about changing out the entire dash lol
Lol oops i started the hijacking my apologies toOP sorry about hijacking the thread.
