Have no idea how I missed this thread! Dang! Glad you're doing better. This thread made me get up and go fix up a veggie bowl lol. My nephew had a heart attack at 40 (a few years ago) and he hasn't changed his ways at all. Still smoking, drinking and eating anything he wants. Heart attacks run in his family (my X wife's family.....finally she's my X!) and he knows better but that's how he is. I cut red meat way down and eat more veggies now than any other time in my life. Mexican food too and that's one of my favs. Yeah, it kinda sucks but it got easier as time when on. Keep at it man!

For all of us of a certain age .. Here's something to think about...
I recently had to choose a new primary care doctor.
After two visits and exhaustive lab tests, she said I was doing fairly well for my age. (I am past seventy).
A little concerned about that comment, I couldn't resist asking her, 'Do you think I'll live to be 85?'
She asked, 'Do you smoke tobacco, or drink beer, wine or hard liquor?'
'Oh no,' I replied. 'I'm not doing drugs, either!'
Then she asked, 'Do you eat rib-eye steaks and barbecued ribs?'
'I said, 'Not much... My former doctor said that all red meat is very unhealthy!'
'Do you spend a lot of time in the sun, like playing golf, boating, sailing, hiking, or bicycling?'
'No, I don't,' I said.
She asked, 'Do you gamble, drive fast cars, or have a lot of sex?'
'No,' I said ...
She looked at me and said, 'Then, why do you even give a ****?
Live long and ENJOY life we only get one go
Do not cut out all the fun but look after yourself

yup I got bitched out about that for driving there they told me I could of died or possibly hurt or killed someone as a result , but I told them I`m within 3-4 minutes from there in either direction but that I most likely saved my life, waiting for a ambulance from Fire department or EMS around plus or minus 20 minutes that I could of died , I took my chances I didn't believe I was having a heart attack ,decisions decisions had to make one my wife was very worried about me ,GOD BLESS her gotta love her she is very special to me
