Solid lifter 440 dual carb setup. Ran fine with old lifters set to lash cold on all at 0.028!
Changed lifters and pushrods due to cracks in the old lifters. Set the lash according to spec - Purple Cam 528= 0.032 ( 0.026 cold ) Exhaust and 0.028 ( 0.022 cold ) Intake. Also changed the rotor and cap while at it.........and now engine suddenly stalls on me while driving - especially after giving it some throttle. It starts to stumble till the point where it eventually cuts out. I can then fire it up again after a few attempts, and it will drive fine untill the next time. The fact, that I can fire it up again leads me to think, that it is fuel related - that it is some how drowning itself. But why?
I haved checked, and rechecked all I can think of - timing, propper lash, mixture screw, Idle screws..........you name it. What am I missing/doing wrong?
