I did notice the gauge is zero'd out as was the fuel and water temp, I will have to sort those out...

My 318 is a little "liftery" too.....I'm going roller on my next build.

ah, oops. Yeah after a bit more running it smoothed out some. I don't have an accelerator cable hooked up, so haven't really got it warmed up yet. Got to get all the fluids topped off too.

Swapped out the carb this AM to what I plan on being the permanent carb. This is the carb matched to the intake as best I can tell. Got it running again but not well on this carb. Will keep working on it.
Also noticed this yesterday... Not sure what to make of it yet.
So the right turn indicator is on on the dash and one of the left tail lights is on...it's possible I have the indiscators backwards in the dash and a bulb out but I don't have the front end even connected so not gonna worry about it too much. The wiring from the trunk siganl switch to the main harness seems to be right as I did check that.

Exciting to hear it run. I know the feeling, it keeps you motivated. Tracking down miscellaneous problems takes time. That is what I have been working on and it has been somewhat frustrating.

Keeping busy with various things until the car goes back to the paint shop in 2 weeks. Even if it is stuff I need to pull out later for safe keeping.
I cut the trunk Matt and installed the jack.
I feel like I'm missing something. Is there a bolt on something at the low end on the floor board?
I assume I did the spring correctly too.

On to the carpet. Last time I did this (on this car) I was 17 years old. Much less of a hack job this time around. Just going slowly...
Think I will let it sit and flatten out a bit more before I cut the seat and belt holes... Not trimming the edges until much later.
Definitely pulling these back out before she goes back to the paint shop

Jack is in backwards.......the lug wrench bent end fits in the bracket slot and the jack post wedges against that. The spring "hook" end hooks as in the pictures...

Spoilsport?.....Just helping a friend to install the part properly........Or would you rather have his lug wrench fly over and pop a big ole dent in his quarter. When he slams on the brakes or takes a harsh turn? Now that would be a spoilsport.....That is why it fits in the slot and why the slot is there in the rear bracket....
Or should we just be a bunch of bullshitters and say, "way to go, looks great". Wait there is a forum for that and glad it is not this one.....

So trying to stay busy while the car is back at the paint shop.
Not doing so good however
The shop informed me my rebuilt heater control valve is leaking badly, so got to fix/replace that.
Then I started on the vent window frames. It Hought I was doing well until I discovered my rivet worked didn't trunk out so well on the opposite side.
I have a spare frame but it is pitted a little. So not happy with my options. So upset at myself. I JB Welded the passenger frame in so we will see if I regret that.
Then I moved on to the console. But here are the new repro lights. The chrome just isn't there at the deep end of the light. Gonna be going past Brazelton tomorrow so will see if YO has some better ones in inventory for an exchange.
Then I bought what I thought was a new repro AC line from compressor to condensor line. As I looked at it was all scratched up and was quite obviously and old line that had been reused with new rubber. Which I am fine with generally. But then I simply pulled the rubber right off the line so it was never crimped. And same with the other side. So am pretty upset about that. Not gonna bother fighting with the supplier, but if anyone wants to know who not to use let me know.

Today I am hoping to get the passenger vent frame done. Also gonna install the console door hinge. Finally may mess with putting the passenger seat back together.
The driver's seat bottom is out being reupholstered. Also sent all my stainless out to be polished.

Everything is fixable and not installed...Imagine if that line was installed and you pressurized the system.....
Reproduction parts flat out suck.......
Small hiccups and they suck but they happen with any restoration.....
